ফ্লোরেন্স নাইটিংগেল-এর অঙ্গীকার:
আমি নিষ্ঠার সহিত সৃষ্টিকর্তার নিকট এবং সর্বসমুক্ষে শপথ গ্রহন করিতেছি যে,আমি পবিত্রতার সহিত জীবন যাপন করিবো এবং বিশ্বস্ততার সহিত আমার কর্তব্য সম্পাদন করিবো।
আমি যাহা কিছু অন্যায় ও অশুভ তাহা হইতে বিরত থাকিবো এবং জ্ঞাতসারে ক্ষতিকর কোনো ঔষুধ নিজে গ্রহন করিবো না এবং অন্যকে ও দিবো না।
আমি আমার সর্বশক্তি দ্বারা আমার পেশাগত মান উন্নত রাখিবো এবং আমার কার্য্য উপলক্ষে যে সমস্ত ব্যক্তিগত বিষয় আমার জ্ঞাত হইবে তাহার গোপনীয়তা রক্ষা করিবো।
আমি সততার সহিত চিকিৎসক কে তাহার কার্য্যে সহযোগিতা করিবো এবং আমার সেবাধীন রোগীদের কল্যানে নিজেকে সম্পূর্ণরুপে নিয়োজিত করব।
The Pledge of Florence Nightingale:
I solemnly myself before Allah(God) and in the presence of this assembly, to pass my life in purity and to practice my profession faithfully.
I will abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous, and will not take or knowingly administer any harmful drug and do not give it to others.
I'll do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my profession, and will hold confidence all personal matters committed to my keeping.
With loyalty I will endeavour to aid the physician in his work, and devote myself to the welfare of those committed to my care.
