3k isn't an entry level price what so ever. Most people are best of running aluminum, especially as an entry to the sport. True entry level bikes cost around 1k and are build with a tiagra, a grx 400, sram apex, or if your budget is a bit lower, a sora. Saying 3k is entry level is insaaaane.
The Lauf seigla rigid sram force package is the best value on paper, and it’s not even close. Very interested but don’t know enough about them and don’t see too many videos discussing the rigid. Any insight?
@@truesouth100 If you are interested go for it. Bought one this May, rode it in the Unbound 100 and it was flawless even after a 4.5 mile trek in the mud!
What can I say - as someone who just bought a new "quiver killer" for gravel, long distance bikepacking and some road riding I'm pleased as punch with my Trek Checkpoint SL equipped with GRX Di2 two by... Seems you love it "nearly" as much as I do (the frameset cam in the same fab paint job as featured here)
Got my Topstone Carbon 3 for £2400, found some R45 Hollowgram wheels on sale for £650. Incredible value, and an outstanding bike. The only bike I’ll ever need
@@TRISHYXX No, he has a point. You are just out of touch, just like many people who take their hobbies to ridiculous levels and become gatekeepers of said hobbies. It's like photographers thinking you can't get into a hobby without purchasing a full-frame DSLR.
It is crazy the prices bikes have risen to, nobody can justify the value of the actual bike to its retail price. The same thing happens with lots of desirable brands now, to the point where all reality is lost. How can a bicycle designed for the amateur rider cost more than a motor bike.
The real issue here are that package deals just don’t translate into a discounted price you would expect. Explore boutique bike brands for a proper deal.
You have to consider some other perks of going with something like a trek or big name. I've seen them warranty out old obsolete bikes for entire new ones because of their lifetime frame warranty.
For the revolt. I wonder if a creative person could 3d print an insert that could change the rear axle insert for a single speed compatible amount of adjustment. Just putting that out there for someone with the knowledge and skill set to pull it off. Cause that’s definitely not me. I’m just the idea man.
I’ve been looking for an endurance road or gravel. The prices are to damn high. Pisses me off, but people keep purchasing these over priced low spec bikes. Everyone is not a pro. I just like riding bikes!!
Are you for real? Trek Checkpoint is a race bike with the longest reach of all gravel bikes. How the hell will you be comfortable in that agressive stretched out position on “expeditions”

I was hoping there would be a £1-2k bike in there.
Entry level lol okay ….
The Lauf Seigla Core wireless with SRAM Rival is also right at $3K. Go with a rigid fork Hard and its $350 lower hard to go wrong at that price

Topstone have bad drop out :)

А где Cube Nuroad?
Prices totally not entry level. Cycling weekly just an advertising platform,
Aren't all cycling channels. The manufacturers need a platform to sell their bikes.
@@fcnghkkc1 Not all channels, no. There's an honest Bob or two out there.
It clearly says, best gravel bikes money can buy lol.
They release tons of videos that criticise bike manufacturers. This is just a best of vid...
It seems kind of dumb for any manufacturer selling a "gravel" bike to not include mud/fender mounts.
Question. Is that Scot Addict just the British version. I can't find that color in the US

bike prices are just silly now
Blows my mind how these silky bikes with no suspension or dropper are more expensive than a eMTB.
I would have liked to see some mention of the cervelo aspero here. Extremely versatile dual purpose gravel bike.
Entry level £3k?
I second that ! Entry level between 3k and 4k ? You must be joking ! Cycling weekly, you need to get back to earth
I think they are mentioning the carbon frameset levels, You can get an AL Revolt for much less.
@@senasplage Entry level is under $2000
Yeah, best value bike at 3500€ is pretty bonkers and out of touch.
I paid 1200 for a 2nd hand Sonder Camino Ti…. I thought 1200 quid was a lot of money, clearly not.

how could he forget the Radon Regard 7 or 10? They beat any of the bikes when it comes to value for price.
And the cycling world wonders why there's going to be a market crash
Good reviews but too much Chesterfield😄
Entry level - best value - that's a joke - what world are they living in
The revolt is perfect as is. If you want lower stack get a tcr or a defy you muppet!
Clearly Genesis don't sponsor the channel then.
I appreciate everyone's idea of "entry level" differs. But three grand, come on.

Giant still has not figure out to hide those cable lol. In this day and age external cabling is a sin.
Not everyone feels the same as you. I own the revolt and I prefer external cables and wouldn't have bought with fully internal cables.
miles from nowhere repairs?
Anything above 1k is not entry level
Not even a mention of the ENVE MOG? Shameful 😂😂
So no innovation anywhere, just the same bikes painted in different colors. Meh.
