Between Frank, Sharon and Glys channel I am always on the edge of my seat. I keep reminding myself all is well or I would not be able to view your explorations. Thanks for what you do and the educational facts you provide. Sharon is a real trooper. LOL
Fabulous photos, lovely close-up of the bat and quartz / mineralization. Nice moon walk! Oh boy that was pretty scary, I'm glad you made your way out. It's cool we get to see you adventuring in your own mine. Thank you Frank and Sharon Take care and be safe. . 👷🏻♂️⛏👷🏻♀️⛏ ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Frank and Sharon, I loved the Moonwalk down the stope Frank, very well executed 10/10 for style. A very cool adventure into the Yankee Boy, I'm glad you both got back out okay. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
Hi Frank / Sharon, over time would be cool if you could collect the wooden planks and maybe make some beer chairs. Be good to sit with you two and have a beer. Take care and stay safe.
Just to be pedantic....Abyss ;) Wow, that's a bloody deep stope, that a chimney? In our last video, I helped create a new tunnel, strange to think both the tunnel and the stack of deads I created could be there for many thousands of years. We would get prosecuted for showing bats in uk mine videos for disturbing them, need a license over here to go anywhere near them. Funny that we don't get rats in our mines, but most are heavy metal mines so not the best place for them. Frank is good like us in bad situations, so calm, should have been a paramedic.
Gosh great explore, edge of the seat, bottom lip biting excitement! Glad y'all got out of that stope safely. Neat vein and that stope is a brute. Enjoyed the suspense.
Hello Frank hello Sharon Thank you for taking me with you to your mine . I am a bit from the safe side so i hope you have installed a bunch of no tresspass signs . That nobody can Fall in this stopes without knowing the danger he is behind the signs I hope the Bad weather dont hit you to hard I have seen Videos that dont Look very good .. Until the next time Take care stay safe and have a good weekend Yours Frank Galetzka
Wonderful mine, I am so glad you purchased this property just minutes from my place in the valley. Brother and I checked this mine our July 2017 (roped up) and had a great explore, tons of good mineralization and quartz still running, can’t wait to tour your museum when you’re open.
Hope the floods didn't do any harm your way. The Yankee looks like it's going to be a great mine to visit! Sure it's got it's challenges but it's not too bad to get around in. Thanks Guys! Always a fun video👍
Visible gold at 9:17? I remember a mine explorer, the one with the beard, who claimed you couldn't see gold in a gold mine. ;-) You should grab some samples to see what the last miners left. It's amazing what tiny amounts of gold are worthwhile to mine these days. Some Nevada mines are profitable at .46 grams per ton depending on the price of gold. See if your mine would produce enough for a six-pack per ton.
Seeing that you're finding specks of gold you should collect some samples of the dirt you're standing on. It might be a good idea to try panning in areas that have gold-bearing ores.
Looks like there's plenty of good ore still left, would love to have a piece" wink wink", can't wait to see the mine open up for tours,I'm definitely going to see it,thanks you two for the videos,BE SAFE PlEASE!😊
After watching this, I'll be starting my design on the Rat-Zapp-Omatic 3000. I'll have my lawyers contact Sharon about a loyalty agreement. Once I can afford lawyers, that is.
As you have previously mentioned that you don't have any mineral/mining rights to this mine, what happens if by chance you did find a fat little nugget? Are you able to legally keep it??
Only mentioning it so you know for future videos, it's spelled abyss, as opposed to abiss. Simple mistake, and no biggie, it just looks more professional in vids when you have correct spelling. Not trying to be a dick or anything at all. Congrats on the mine. Can't wait to see the mountain of content it generates! Best wishes!
Might want to use a good metal detector on some of that gold areas might find some nuggets to help you pay for some remodeling. I see no water so rule number one don’t count.
We don't own the mineral rights. Besides that we would have to build a mill and find a smelter to ship concentrate to. There is no way you could make any money mining it.
So just how did you get out of that chimney? Up and out or back down
We tied our footstraps together. I climbed back down and up from the surface then lowered a rope down to Sharon from the top.
You guys make my knees hurt just watching. Come to think of it my knees hurt when I brush my teeth.
Carry on.......
Cheers!

5 STARS ALWAYS
I haven’t made a comment for years but I’m still watching, keep it up guys, this is great stuff.
Much appreciated!

😮 scary, especially when you question the path. Glad you made it out!

Thanks Sue. Good to hear from you!
Climbing that shaft was very dangerous 😬 I would not have tried it.
Your Mine!!! that is too awesome. Enjoyed the video. Many thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
OK, you were making me a little nervous perched on that stull!
Hi Frank / Sharon, over time would be cool if you could collect the wooden planks and maybe make some beer chairs. Be good to sit with you two and have a beer. Take care and stay safe.
I will drink to that!
Be safe, you two. Getting stuck in your own mine would really suck!

Should’ve titled this one, Stuck between a rock and a hard place..
I'm really glad you didn't get stuck!!!!!
Looking forward to your next episode 😀

Some tricky maneuvering there on that one .....WOW ! Thank you for sharing your explore, stay safe. 2 👍 way up ❗
Thanks, you too!
Hectic day at work then get home, crack a beer, then realize Frank & Sharon have uploaded a new adventure. Cheers guys from Ozz 🍻🍻🍻🍻
Enjoy!
My favourite mine explorers. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Cheers from Australia

No we haven't. I don't think it is any more dangerous than the cliff beside the mine.
Love to see a good bit of climbing, great stuff, stay safe guys
Thanks, will do!
Looking good .
Thanks 👍

It will look a lot different when you do come back!
Good evening from Southeast South Dakota
Looking forward to be when the mine is open for us all to explore, complete with artifacts!
Thank you, both! Stay safe, I'll wait for the elevator to be inSTALed.
You should buy sharon a taser for the rats, that would be endlessly entertaining.
Their willingness to thrust themselves into these situations is just insane…
Hope you guys are safe in British Columbia with all that flooding, and as always another great show , the two of you are fantastic together
The flooding is in the southwestern corner of the province.
Hope the floods didn't do any harm your way. The Yankee looks like it's going to be a great mine to visit! Sure it's got it's challenges but it's not too bad to get around in. Thanks Guys! Always a fun video👍
The main haul level will be easy to go into.

Frank & Sharon Awesome video ! Sharon you need a Rechargeable Electric Cattle prod for them Rats .
Cool video friends thanks and please keep the great videos coming and please keep safe friends from Scotland
😸😸...teaching folks to climb in a mine that sounds like a great idea 💡, did Sharon give you that inspiration Franklin 😺😺?
As usual, I have sweaty hands at the end of the video. You guys manage to scare the crap out of me!
A great bit of climbing, and it is true going down is easier than up, great work.
While it is easier physically you can scale a steeper slope safely than you can descend.
Greetings from Castlegar.
Same to you!
They edited out their route out of their predicament. Still they had fun, lesson learned.
both of y'all got balls of steel hngin' out on that post.. #nice :^) so much adrenaline flowing it's definitely a dopamine overdrive..
Looks to be a whole lot of work to clear loose 🪨
We started today...a lot of fun!

Usually Gold in hard rock mines is microscopic but not always!
Seeing that you're finding specks of gold you should collect some samples of the dirt you're standing on. It might be a good idea to try panning in areas that have gold-bearing ores.
We would rather leave any Gold bearing material in place for people to see when they come and visit the mine.
Rolled the dice pretty hard on that one Franklin
That’s awesome, very interesting mine, sounds like something up there, keep up the great work guys…

Great mine , looks like fun 😜 I really didn't know that Frank is a Michael Jackson fan !!! I seen the moon walk , was pretty good 😊 lol 😁
I came out with it first he stole my dance move!
@@exploringabandonedmines What talent you possess , I wouldn't have known ! 😳😅🕶️ Keep 'em coming 👍👌☠️
I keep waiting for Frank to get his beard tangled into the climbing gear. 😄
It happened a few times!
Yikes!
If you don’t mind me asking how old are you and the mrs’s?
Late 50s
When I was young I did a lot of repelling and tree climbing with spikes, you two seem to do it effortlessly and make it look easy!
After watching this, I'll be starting my design on the Rat-Zapp-Omatic 3000.
I'll have my lawyers contact Sharon about a loyalty agreement.
Once I can afford lawyers, that is.
We will be keeping an eye on our inbox!

No, but who would know?
@@exploringabandonedmines
Haha true!
Enjoy your videos from Iowa. What if gold doubles in price like some are predicting, would some mines be profitable again?
The problem is that the infrastructure to process the ore is long gone there are no mills or smelters left.
@@exploringabandonedmines Tech Cominco in Trail won’t take any small shipment any more I imagine, or do they still own the mineral rights?
"Abyss"
Frank, I can’t get on your merchandise page. 😕 must have more shirts lol🤩
go to exploringabandonedmines.com
Was the mine owned by the 7 dwarfs? How the hell did they get the ore out in the first place? 👍🏻😁🇦🇺
There was a windlass in the top end and a main haul tunnel at the bottom.
@@exploringabandonedmines thanks for that. 😁👍🏻🇦🇺
Strange she calls the bat a friend but not the rats!!
Everyone picks their friends!
don't tell Sharon, (trapped like a RAT) If she had a gun, to shoot, rats, but some are so big it would jest piss them off Thank you stay safe
ABYSS !!!!!

how long does a camera last you?
They last about a year.
Famous mine in CO. named Yankee Boy. Guess this is'nt it.
It is not.
Abyss. 🦘👍
Might want to use a good metal detector on some of that gold areas might find some nuggets to help you pay for some remodeling. I see no water so rule number one don’t count.
Any Gold would be really small. You don't get nuggets in a hard rock mine. They are found in placer gold.
You're 5 seconds slow lolol
What would be really cool, esp now that you've got Sharon is if you did a re-visit to Anyox, i bet she'd love that place.
Visiting our friend Kevin would be fun also.
@@exploringabandonedmines 👍🏽
When are you going to start mining all that gold? Get crazy Jeff Williams up there he likes to work
