Asylum in Germany- The Hearing (Englisch)

This is an information film for refugees in Germany. It deals with the hearing at the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees. At the hearing, refugees can tell the authorities how and why they left their home countries. On this basis, a decision is made as to whether to grant asylum or not. As such, the hearing is a key moment in the asylum process.

Little missed detail, you only have right for asylum in the first safe haven you can reach. So if you are being persecuted or fleeing from war in Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic or Poland, then Germany might be for you. Otherwise, your asylum can be denied or revoked at any time, followed by forced deportation back to where ever you came from.
For example, Julian Assange is still sitting in embassy of Ecuador at London, that was the closest safe haven he could reach. He has been there since 2012.
