Nice video as always. I like the little tip about the thumb placement. I appreciate that in your videos you'll insert little bits of info like that. It's helpful for somebody like me who loves playing ball but was never on a team/never got any coaching.
Man I gotta tell you I’m a 14 year old softball player and you have really helped me learn abt gloves I would have never got a a2000 from Mercari if it wasn’t for you and I love the informative vids keep it up 👍
big companies charge way too much for trainers. if you can find a smaller brand like this 100% snag a piece before they get so popular that they can charge absurd prices like everyone else
We need an Austin Riley glove video because he made the all star team. He wears a Mizuno but closes it thumb to pinky so I wanna see if it’s way different than the Andrelton Simmons model.
Love your channel! I have a request for a throwback video. I would love to see a review of some of the mass produced gloves of the 80's, specifically the Rawlings RBG50 Ozzie Smith, and RBG36 Dale Murphy. These were sold in department stores so they are relatively low quality but everyone had them and they are still all over eBay for cheap. I'd also like to see a review of certain 70's mass produced Wilsons and Rawlings. The shapes on those gloves are terrible but Wilson in particular was building a lot of their low-mid range gloves with some really stout leather. For example, certain George Brett iterations of the Wilson A2350 and A2950. Rawlings used softer "old timey" leather in their XPG series, and the Tan Talon gloves are soft also. I'd also love to see you review some 70's and 80's A2000s and HoH and compare them to the modern day versions. I'd love to watch you take some grounders with some of those gloves and hear your thoughts! I have several of the gloves I mentioned if you want to borrow them for the video.
NIce vid! I love using trainer gloves, it lets me field and get better at the fast transfers, or practicing the hops. I have a 44 pro trainer, thinking of getting a rawlings hoh leather since it would feel more like the leather i use on my real glove.
I suggest going to like dicks and getting a youth Rawlings glove that’s like 9.5” that’s you can get your hand in because even though it’s not an actual trainer, it works the same because the length.
I have this old 11 inch youth glove, would that work the same as a trainer? Ive always thought about it but was afraid I would end up developing some bad habits since its technically not a trainer.
Main thing is does it fit your hand comfortable? A trainer is small but still fits an adult hand so you feel like you still have a real glove without the length.
It would not develope any bad habits and would help but a smaller one would work a little better. As long as it’s smaller than your normal glove it’ll work, it’s just about getting lower and catching it in the palm. I recommend going to like dicks sporting goods and getting a cheap youth Rawlings glove that’s like 9.5” because it’ll work the same as a $150 actual trainer.

B45 poster back there. I actually tried a first base mitt from them, every tried their gloves?
Can we use this with a softball?
What do you think is the best budget training glove? I want one but I don’t want to spend a ton of money.

Would you use a bigger trainer for softball or does that suffice?
