      Hey buddy, nice video!
      I was thinking of a small hack about the mag clip. Rode has made a mag clip for its wireless mics, that comes with a metal clip and a magnet. Can you see if that fits for the Ulanzi?

      Thanks! Ooo that is a great shout. Think that could work well. It does boost the overall price by $30 if you need two but yeah, great idea.

    I bought these mics when they first came out, and I am still blown away by how good they really are. You wouldn’t think at this price point they would have so many cool things packed into these little mics on board recording, noise canceling, 35 mm jack, safety recording and a responsive touchscreen. it’s been over a year and they still work like the day I got them. One thing that makes me very happy about these mics is the sound comparison with many other mics that cost much more and at the end of each sound test they actually sound better than most or equal with some of the high end microphones.

    It sounds good for the money! It's not up to professional level, but hey what can you expect at this price point. Be careful in noisy environments, its gain leveling does not work very well (not at all actually) and it distorts if you have to interview someone at a noisy festival for example (it won't accept shouting voices). Use a mount of some kind to use it as a reporter mic and keep it away from the source a little further. Mounting takes a little creativity, but nothing that some double sided tape or glue can't fix.

    The only thing about a magnetized connector, is that many of us have pacemakers or other medical implates. I can’t use the magnetized necklace. I would like someway of easily connecting the receiver to my iphone. Good video Thx 👍

    Only downside I noticed is that it's really sensitive to rubbing sounds. The sound of your shirt or when you accidentally touch it is bad. Otherwise it's Indeed Great

    I don't know if this is just me but the one that I ordered did not come with a touch screen. It is preset and you cannot change the settings for the audio. Unfortunately, it picks up so much background noise that the audio is unusable. I love the brand and I have a few other microphones from them that are preset to get rid of background noise, yet for some reason the one they sent out to the influencers are far better than the actual one you can buy.

    When it splits files.. do you lose a second or two?

    I got one .. but the recorded volume is very low. I have gain and volume up to 75% on RX and TX.

    there`s no way this audio was not tempered with in any way shape or form. it sounds too good for the price.

      I can guarantee you I didn’t touch the U-MIC audio in the audio quality section of the video. That is what I got direct from the mic. The rest of the video is the NTG-2

      @@DigiProTips it sounds really good. under 100$ is one hell of a price. it leaves a lot to be desired though in the mounting department. those clips are not what you want. does the receiver have any way of mounting to a camera? like a hot shoe or screw type or anything really other than a clip?

    • @DigiProTips
      @DigiProTips  9 місяців тому +2

      Unfortunately not BUT another commenter did say about the RODE mag clips which would work well if you wanted to magnetise it to your camera rig.
      The U-MIC receiver clip does fit a cold shoe mount but it’s not secure.

    Ulazi records with extremely low audio even with +10 Gain and max volume in settings. How were you able to fix this issue when playing back audio?

    • @DigiProTips
      @DigiProTips  7 місяців тому

      Hey FuMMoD, there’s a quite a lot of factors that affect audio quality. It can depend on what you’re recording into, the placement of your mic and environment.
      I would suggest starting with your recording device, if that is your camera then Google/YouTubr the best audio settings for that camera with an external mic and if you’re using a field recorder like a Zoom then ensure you have the settings correct on that as well.
      Then look at your ULANZI mic and set everything to a comfortable level. I would never try to max it out. You also shouldn’t need to if everything is set up on your recording device properly.
      If you’re recording by USB-C straight to computer then your recording software may need the input settings changed there.
      Hope that helps and you get the quality you were looking for with the mic.

    Can you record audio with the mics just as a stand alone recorder.. If I don't wanna power up the receiver can it record?

    • @FuMMoD
      @FuMMoD 7 місяців тому +1

      Yes it has built in recording. It is slow when transfering from the Ulanzi to PC but theyre audio files so it shouldnt be that bad of a transfer.

    • @DigiProTips
      @DigiProTips  7 місяців тому

      You can indeed but the internal recording on the mics is more for backup than for normal use. The reason being that it records at a lower bitrate internally than if you were to record on an external device with the receiver. But yes, you can use the mics themselves to record if you want

    Can you explain what settings you are recording the Ulanzi with? Audio Mode + gain levels? It's not sounding as good for me I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Thank you
