You should do sketches first brother. You can use multiple layers, first layer is a very rough sketch. Second layer is still a sketch but you add all the details roughly. And third layer is the clean linework. Ofc you can just do one sketch layer or none, but you can definetly draw better anatomy if you do it that way. I did it like you years ago, and also on Flipaclip. But trust me it's better if you don't start with details already.
