Roblox | Flood Escape 2 - Concrete Jungle [HIGHLIGHT]

I think I now hate concrete after this.
I'm sorry I couldn't solo this in the main game. I honestly had no choice but to do it in Community Maps, because good lord, I do not like the gameplay one bit. I truly did not think something could be worse than End of the Line’s gameplay, but here we are.
First of all, there is no way this is a 5.7. This almost feels like a toned-down Crazy+ map, and it feels like you can’t even make any mistakes. The other two 5.7 maps, Decaying Silo and Mirage Saloon, give you a bit more freedom to make mistakes in solo, even if you still can’t make that many. With this, it feels like you cannot make a SINGLE one, and it took a lot of time to optimize my route as much as I could. However, the gameplay in general is not fun at all.
The first thing I’ll point out is the ladder at 1:14. It feels like it came from a Crazy+ map, and it’s a very out-of-place difficulty spike. It’s harder than it looks, too. Secondly is that slide at 1:28. It feels less of a challenge and more of a cheap way to kill players that are too late. It also makes the pacing inconsistent, so I'd either replace it with a barrier to jump over or nerf the lava speed at that part. I usually do not mind long jumps in a high Crazy map, but they’re overdone here when considering the star rating, and a fair amount of them do not feel right to do (0:38 as one example).
However, I do like the aesthetics of this map. Like Desolate Domain and Deserted District, it has the abandoned city theme, but it did not remind me of those two maps at first, which is a plus. The monotone color scheme is a great touch, and it really does make me feel like I'm going through an abandoned city. I also got an uncommon variant in this recording where there's thunder, which should honestly be a thing no matter what.
The OST is fine. It fits the map, but it's not one that makes me want to throw a disco party or anything. It's also a bit repetitive, but I'm also glad it got a revamp, because I thought V1 sounded goofy.
Yeah, I was honestly disappointed with this month's highlights. The only very good one was Whirlwind Wasteland, which I probably won't even get done. I'm just happy I got this map done and it's out of my way.
