- Welcome to Hermitcraft season 10 - Episode 8! I start the journey to get the All Mobs Hermit Permit from Grian at the Permit Office. I want this rare Permit and will do anything for it. Also, I'm visited by the neighborhood Snails and they leave me a new car on the back of the Minecraft Zoo train. Hope you enjoy this crazy episode of Hermitcraft!

With how close hermits are this season, there's a dangerously high chance for grian and scar's chest monsters to merge
after starting a war/rebellion nearly every season, it’s quite the plot twist for grian to become the government the people will want to revolt against

But the rebellion will need to submit their application to rebel in triplicate at three permit offices. Only then will their rebellion be considered for approval.
19:39 okay, but Grian just floating away while Scar is slowly going insane over the Permit Office was so funny. Truly shows how normal people simply cannot comprehend the workings of this institution. Only wizards can work there and not fall into the depths of despair over it.

Y'know, making a certain absent office worker stay put long enough would be a good use of a splash potion of "Potion of the Turtle Master," He'd be stuck with slowness 4 and resistance 3, and easily able to be whacked back into place with a knockback IV stick and pulled with a fishing rod.

If (when) your permit gets rejected, you should try for "all the mobs except snails" as a replacement permit request.

The base blooben test, when performed properly, properly displays the findle accuracy of the base's disynchronous glostules. It makes sense the the Permit Department would request such a task given that all shops divulge multicapillarity signals to the central server founded on yelkim quilt technology. Without a positive test result from the Base Blooben Test, the woldreskic templistuists could be misaligned leading to a staggering zundfine shutdown across all grystic access terminals. As a public service I think Scar should build a nice BIG road to the front door of the permit office, maybe a nice bridge, and lots of signs saying "This way to the permit office."
I think he should threaten Grian with this so he will give Scar the permit.

Hi Scar, I think Blooben is another word for “blow up”, he’s asking you if it will blow something up …or he’s asking you to blow up his base just like Mumbo’s. Best ask him while he’s building at his base, bring a shulker full of TNT, just in case he wants you to get started right away. Maybe just start placing some around until he gives you more instructions if I’m wrong. He was a bit unclear in the video, so he can’t blame us for any misunderstandings. Hope that helps.

Things in administration and bureaucracy never change and I love it. Grian is a genius and I'm swimming in laughs and tears for the past 30 minutes.
I'm SO GLAD I am not the only one who instantly thought of Permit Number A38! I love showing people that skit, even if they don't watch the film because it's so good. I'm looking forward to seeing how Scar decides to flip the script on Grian.

I've been on hold with the government for hours just to get hung up on at closing. I can definitely relate to scar telling the note block to hurry up.
I lost it on the on-hold music, and Scar just patiently but frustratingly waiting for the music to end. This was so well done by both of you!
After watching both grian and scars POV of this as well as the music video I have that song stuck in my head endlessly.
The base bloobin test is an approximately 30 minute test that assesses the realisticity of a proposal. It has 5 seperate steps. 1: a straight forward analysis of materialist consequences. 2: will it intend other consequences for lateral proposals? 3: what will be the cardiovenstricular implications when looked through a cryptoprimitivisticly obstructomodern lens. 4: could it if implemented lead to unintended flux effects on the viscouscurrents of atmospheric refractive potential? 5: are batteries included?
I know this may seem like a lot of complicated jargon but it's actually pretty simple when you look at what it really means.

I just wanna appreciate the way Scar manages to have a goofy character with the binoculars and zookeeping while also bringing his signature Scar Charm to interactions on the server. It makes me smile wide every time I see a moment from his point of view when I've seen it from someone's else's already.

Regarding the blooben test and all other questions: Grian will obviously not accept any answer. Therefore, someone likely needs to regulate the DHP. I suggest you build the Department for Eradicating Ambiguous Tasks for Hermits, short DEATH, that will force Grian as the head of the DHP to provide DEATH with the correct answers or face prosecution. You just need the right motivation to make a lazy bureaucrat work for you ^^

excellent idea, and for each question in the forms he's made ask the detailed instruction manual fro that particular question , give each a code to make it look more official.
That way you force him to write a detailed description for each question so he'll want to avoid creating more.
Fine him if he doesn't have all the correct manuals. One fine per manual, say 10 diamonds.
I love this idea.
And I think that Joe and Wells would be perfect to help him with it.

Base Blooben Test, developed in 1975 by bell labs when the government asked Basette Q Grianson to develop a test which determines the validity of an item, however the test that Base came up with only worked for a very narrow band of items and it was impossible to tell when the test was giving an accurate reading or not. In 1993 Richard Blooben found the criteria of an item which when you preform the Base test on it you will get an accurate reading, together the criteria and the test now are known as the base Blooben test and while no longer strictly necessary ever since 2018, is still a tedious burocratic part of permitting.

The Base Blooben Test is the most fundamental form of the Blooben Test. There are more sophisticated tests available, but the Permit Office only asks for the base test to save you time.
It seems to me that the natural environment of the snail is a government office.
The snails pace at which things get done makes a great habitat for them.

Scar, a blooben test is used to find entropy in your system. It shouldn’t be too hard, because you only need to do a *base* test instead of a comprehensive test.
I would recommend putting three frogs in a small enclosure together and timing how long it takes for the third frog to escape, because it’s a pretty easy way to do the test

Scar its time for malicious compliance. Fill in that paperwork with so much additional work for Grian to do. Find and create your own Bloom test, its up to him to discredit it. Fight back with paper work so much that the path of least resistance is to give you what you want.
If that doesnt work threaten to create a highway straight to the permit office so its easy to find. That should do it.

@@clockoclock4 I'm not entirely sure that's how the permits work, but I could be wrong in that understanding. Regardless I'm pretty sure you need a permit to sell anything on the server, Pearl is getting a permit to sell the stamps for the mail system
@@chicabear getting grain to give him a permit for off brand food could be a struggle but the way I thought of permits were kinda like copy right and of brand foods are just different enough to avoid them so I think it could work
He could sell animal food! You know, some of that stuff is technically fit for human consumption even in minecraft

its amazing how strategically frustrating grian has made the permit office such an annoying process of nonsense to make absolutely sure NO ONE makes too many permits and that theyre REALLY necessary for the pain one must go through to get a permit
The Base Blooben Test is quite simple
Just copy the text from this form into another book and answer it as yes on one and no on the other
The you turn in 1 version and if Grian says that it doesn't fulfill this test immediately turn in the second version of the Form
Unacceptable. You can only fill out one MJYAAFK06 form at a time. It's just bureaucracy
I've just noticed something amazing. The form Scar is meant to fill out is short for "Mumbo Jumbo You Are AFK". The callback to season 6 is incredible.

You can tell Scar is not well versed in International Patent Law. The Blooben Test is one of the most important parts.

doing a spin, or looking away, or whatever, for a second and then the build is just there! I love it! and it doesn't seem obvious that it's a jump cut either, it looks just like he did a spin or whatever and the build magically appeared!

I would love to see a train car for each season you've been in. They could be themed around the base you made that season or any big events that happened like the Turf War or Area 77.
The base blooben test is a test for recycling bins.
After some quick research, I have learned that some places in Europe and Asia call their recycling bins "bloobins" because of the blue color. I suspect that the test requires a recycle bin to be built on or near your train.
