To answer your question about how the name 'MOTIF' came to being MrJackanthony, MOTIF is actually a musical term that means a 'musical idea', hence what the MOTIF ES/XS and XF are about

@TheLeonski dont worry midi is not that difficult I had never use Logic before but i think you only need to set up just as a midi imput device maybe you'll need to set up the remote if you want to and I think that the Motif XS transmits all the remote data through the port 4 hope it helps

realmente es impresionante , si tuviera el talento lo compraria pero mejor comienzo con uno sencillo jejejej no vale la pena invertir para no saber usarlo. es complicado se lo dejo a los que saben yo aun estoy aprendiendo.. jejej saludos.

Roland se limita a decir "Somos los mas arrechos" "tenemios la pantalla mas arrecha" tambien dicen "Le puedes conectar un mouse al teclado" pero no te muestran lo que este tipo hace con este motif, yo tengo Roland y pienso cambiarme a Yamaha
ATENCION USUARIOS DE MOTIFXS
Yamaha ha subido una nueva versión del MOTIFXS la V1.10 que permite:
-Conectar un teclado QWERTY al MOTIFXS a través del puerto USB to device
-Asignar la sincronía MIDI del secuenciador interno a través de QUICKSETUP de manera automatica
-Enviar cambios de programa a dispositivos MIDI externos
-Marcar con la función LOCATE 1 Y 2 PUNCH In y Punch Out
-Hacer cambios de programa sin cortar el sonido en modos song y pattern

@hyotow Too funny....I was thinking the exact same thing. If they're not paying him at least $100-200K/year, he's getting ripped off for his talents. A fanTASTic demoer for their products, for sure.
Motif XS even blows Yamaha Genos out of the water! Well it's not that mind blowing of course Motif XS is better than Genos because
Motif XS is a workstation/synthesizer intended for music production and stage performances whereas Genos is an arranger and arranger
keyboards are only good for one man band players or songwriters recording a demo track.

I don't know why we want to continue coming up with cheap orchestra emulations, for God's sake it just sounds so cheesy very much pub level entertainment. Hardware synths can't do it as well as software ones due to memory limitations. Instead, I would rather see another selling point where pirates theme is performed using hard core synthetic sounds, show the workstations' better side
