That’s a blanket statement. We need to look at it in context. This is a generic example, not exceptions. If a man and woman meet at the same level in life (mostly economically) and they love each other, they can struggle, build, and succeed together.
In this case if either were to experience misfortune, and the love is real, they will stand by each other.
On the contrary, it’s more difficult to love at different levels. Men are more likely to love a woman at a lesser level in life regardless if he loves her, as long as he’s in a position to provide. It’s more difficult for a woman to do the same as her greatest need is security.
I wouldn’t advice a woman to build a man as it’s in his nature to work to provide. If she robs him of that, he will most likely resent her for treating him like a child. It also changes the masculine, feminine dynamics.
