    Good video to see how the machine issues a paper ticket although not recommended for visitors.
    Either outboundary Z1-6 travelcard if coming in from a rail station outside of London, or Oyster/Contactless pay will probably be better value.

    Never buy paper tickets, they are overpriced, buying a Oyster smartcard is better value as it only costs £3.10 and not £6.40

    Is there some kind of 2-week pass that allows you to use it on any subway train, any bus? I was originally going to land in London Gatwick Airport but I changed it to Heathrow Airport because it is only a 1 ride to get to the hostel from Heathrow vs. multiple from Gatwick. I have to take the healthrow express and get off somewhere around Paddington Station. If I took Gatwick, I would have to get off Marylebone. Or is there a station that is more recommended, more safe? I'm getting off at night around 8:15 p.m. on a Friday night at Paddington Station. Is there a preference of using US dollars vs. pounds? I'm coming from Los Angeles and my friend told me its cheaper to use the currency of the country you're in over US dollars because of overcharging. And then, when I want to go to places like Big Ben, London Eye, it requires me to get on Marylebone and take either of these trains - Southern (Green), Thameslink (white and colored train), and Jubilee (red train), Bakerloo, Overground, Victoria. I am so worried, I'm taking my first alone trip and want to have a train ticket pass to make things easier if possible. Worried about costs too. My hostel is on Cosway St and Bell Street - Bell House Hostel but I haven't booked it yet because there are too many to choose from. There's others like Publove White Chapel but am worried of dangeorous areas. I've heard of Oystercards or TravelCards, worried about getting lost, etc.

      This is a bit of a loaded question. I would have to look into the address to be sure , however london train system works pretty well. I had know issues. My first time in London I used the Pass it worked well. Also I would exchange my money at Lax if you can. They usually do it for a flat fee. Give me a couple to check on address.

      @Dabesttravel ok. I wish there was some 2 week pass. Staying for 12 nights. Was originally planning to stay for 17 but tickets got too expensive. There was an airline called Norse Atlantic but inwent with Aer Lingus because Norse had ridiculous suitcase fees

    • @Dabesttravel
      @Dabesttravel  Рік тому

      Yeah those cheaper airline got crazy baggage fee. Also I can give you the name of the hostel I stayed at right near tower Bridge and tower of London. If you don't mind riding a bike they have the Santander bikes . It 2pounds a day with unlimited rides and stations are everywhere.

      @Dabesttravel huh ok. Hard to choose hostels since there's so many. I only went by the area. Most of the hostels are so far away from Central London but the best hostel I thought I found was near the hyde park area because I thought it looked safe

    • @Dabesttravel
      @Dabesttravel  Рік тому

      @thenightstreamer4702 hype Park seemed safe. I rode through london on a the bikes even at night I felt pretty safe. I like there is a video up of me riding at night you can get a feel. Any other questions feel free to ask. Also the oyster card is not unlimited rides and there are zones and the for you go the more it cost. Also I have never taking the Heathrow express. The regular train is just as good if have the time.
