This is a follow up from my day snowboarding yesterday, 26 December.
I love these goggles, I had barely any fogging and if they did fog, it was just the very top center of the lens and as soon as I got moving again, it would clear up right away. The lens clarity is awesome, and the ability to change from tinted to low light so easily, is amazing, changing the strap is very simple and the hard case they came with is awesome when packing with all my other stuff. The case takes the worry about anything else rubbing or bumping into the goggles.
With all of that being said, I unfortunately think I’m not going to be able to use these. If you have a really small face, with my helmet on, I was still getting an air leak right at the bridge of the nose area. I think ultimately it’s because how big the frontier model is.
So, what I plan on doing, is using these for regular snow stuff, out and about, because they are awesome. But I am going to purchase the frames of the Denali’s with 2 lenses. They look like they have an over all smaller profile, and could fit on my face and make a seal, all the way around.
Just because these were too big for me DOES NOT mean I dislike them. I actually, ABSOLUTELY love these things, and I am sad that they are just a little to big for my face. Other than that small air leak, everything else was exactly what I wanted out of them.
I know I need a smaller pair, because the Oakleys that I have are smaller, and they were able to give me the seal I needed, and they didn’t want to rest on the outer portion of the bridge of my nose. Where the frontiers would, just to keep them centered on my face for vision.
Overall If I had to rate them out if 10, it would be a 9/10 just for my problem I had. If they fit my face a little better, it would be an easy 10/10!
I hope this comment helps a few of you guys out. If anyone needs a video to kinda see what I am talking about; please let me know, and I will ultimately do a follow up video.
    Thanks guys!

So I actually used them this past monday. And I think it was just in general a bad day for goggles, and I was still waiting for my helmet to come in.
But as first impressions, I was a little upset with them. It felt like I had a decent air leak near my nose (which could have been my fault, I felt like I had them tight, but maybe not tight enough) and the top center was fogging up pretty bad, but the reason why I said bad day for goggles in general was the weather. It was flurrying all day, and there was much fog and it seems like everyone around me were getting foggy goggles (read below about the same problem with my Oakleys)
I took the lens off to see if it would clear, and it ended up icing up.
I switched back to my Oakleys half way through the day. But my Oakleys also fogged up, but they don’t have removable lens’ so I didn’t have to worry about icing up.
But since getting my helmet and setting them up for the helmet and not just a beaning, I can feel that they are much tighter around my face. And can almost guarantee that there won’t be any air leaks. They felt so much better on my face, after getting my helmet back. I am running them again this Monday. So I will comment with an update. I was going to do a follow on video, but like I said above, I believe it was just a bad day for goggles, so I didn’t feel it was good enough to make a video.
right now, I will say yes I can still recommend them. They did the job on Monday, it was just the small things that I was having to deal with.
I will say this though, if you have a small face, I would possibly consider going with the other model that they sell.
Either way these are a win even after having small problems the first day.
Lenses are cheap to get replacements, and even to order a new frame if it’s needed. I am still happy with my purchase.
After doing adjustments and stuff with my helmet, I think I’ll fully be able to use them from here on out.

I have had the smaller size shady rays goggles for 5 seasons and they have held up great. I probably have close to 150 days on them. I honestly see no difference in quality than my Dragon photochromatic goggles. Fogging has been a little issue with them, but since I had one of the early releases of them that may have improved. My Dragon are not really any better at anti fog so it might just be my helmet. I love the magnetic lens and they stay put. At 50 my eyes are a little challenged seeing the terrain on a cloudy pow day. I love the clear lens for those situations. I like these enough that I just purchased the frontier for the larger frames. I would highly recommend getting a full sun lens along with a clear and the yellow mid light lens. The photochromatic lens are great but they still suck at the extremes in my opinion. One advantage to the magnetic lens is they are easy to pop off to clean and apply anti fog. I normally carry one lens my pack and can quickly swap them when my conditions change. Another cool thing is i can still buy lens, straps, and frames for my 5 year old goggles. Smith and Scott seem to change the shape every few years, requiring you to buy a new set when you only need a new lens. For the price and the lifetime replacement if broken or lost makes them easily the best deal going. I highly recommend them to all my friends.

This is a great video! I bought pretty much the same as you for under $100! there are a lot of codes that are able to be used on the website, so don't worry that you'll be spending too much.

Thanks for the video, Im torn between these and another brand (Glade). Im more focused on the venting, I ride pretty warm even in a simple shirt and my Oakleys have fogged up every ride after at least an hour. Having been 10 Months since the last comments, have you had any major problems with fogging or any new updates? I saw once you got your helmet you didnt have any major fogging, only a small spot when you got to the top of a lift. Thanks in advance. 🤙

They honestly did a lot better than my oakleys that I have been using for almost a decade. My only problem is the fitting, I have a smaller face, so I should have went with the other ones that seem to be a bit smaller. I plan on picking those up before this season. But overall I honestly loved them. Loved how easy it was to switch lenses and straps. Really not bad goggles at all for the price point
