Lego Luigi's sensor is actually different from Mario's, and when wearing Mario's pants, (the builder outfit was made for Mario) he senses that he jumped less.

just like to say, the poison mushroom is probably the best ever . this is because it can be farmed for tons of coins. all you have to do is step on the poison mushroom and then quickly put mario on a water block to instantly get 17 coins! sad not many people now about it

5:17 the pow block helps you defeat bosses in 1 hit like a star, if you scan the pow block and immediately scan a bosses' tile, it will defeat the boss in 1 hit. And unlike the star, you could use it as many times as you want in a single run
The pow does actually do something , It makes the next enemy you stomp 1 Hit
If you tap the poison mushroom and then water right after, it will give you a lot of coins each time. I got 931 coins using this and stars on bosses

Actually, you can get coins from the poison mushroom (because why would they add a power up that just stuns you?). If you shake LEGO Mario/Luigi while they’re poisoned, the poison will go away quicker and you’ll get bonus coins. I’m not sure how helpful it will be when it comes to trying to get the most coins, but I thought I’d explain it (P.S, that Whomp is not King Whomp, it’s just a regular Whomp) (P.P.S, the Bowser head on the back of the airship can also net you a lot of coins, though I forgot how many).

Speaking of lego, one time I was at the store and they had those "random character in bad" I got bored, so I took the bag and while the pieces were inside it, I tried to make the lego man from pieces. Then I bought it, opened and to my surprised I was only slightly off with the head.

i have one thing to add on the Mario enemy tier list. the bramball actually gives you 5 coins instead of 1 and if you jump on the goomba 2 times, it will give you 2 coins.
Suggestion: use both at once. LEGO luigi and Mario’s coin counter connect. If you have two of them you could get coins faster from different tiles at once. Power ups like mushrooms or stars don’t effect both of them when one gets one.

The poison mushroom gives you coins if you put Mario in water while it is in effect. It also goes away when you shake, I think making it go away by shaking gives you coins as well.
The custom set custom blocks have a special thing that is in the set that twisting a knob will change it because you put them on it and it turns for you

This is something that should have existed a long time ago :)
In 2 player, each player can both use a single timer or maker timer block once each, so you can get an additional 120 seconds. Also, when starting from the green pipe, you start with 90 seconds, you still start with 30 from the yellow pipe and I don't have the cannon so I can't find out.

Have you tried co-op mode? It allows you to get extra coins for doing actions as a team

If I had to guess why you couldn't get as many coins as BMZ is the update. Mario and Luigi should (not be guaranteed) have similar programming, unless Nintendo wants to carry this trend of making Luigi the outcast. It's most likely this spamming technique was causing issues with Lego Mario so it had to be patched. That's just my guess because Nintendo loves to patch all of this unnecessary stuff whether players wanted them to or not.

You should grab something on start to help you and spam the time block so you can last longer, later just spam the coins a lot of times... (idk much about the lego Luigi set, but maybe ya can by a lot of sets and later spam the time a lot)

If you shake mario/Luigi with the poison mushroom status you get a few coins. Feeding them a normal or 1-up mushroom also works.
I wonder if you can take a screen and put a video of the different bar codes under LEGO Mario or Luigi and if it’ll detect it. If so we can have the perfect timing by making a video that swaps at the perfect time all of the bar codes

If you get the poison mushroom and go into the water right away, you get 17 coins, and you can do this as many times as you like Also, if you use the pow block right before you hit an enemy, the enemy dies instantly, although using the star is a better idea, and using multiplayer is going to get a lot more coins because you get a ton of extra time and it’s easy to synchronize moves
I don't know how many coins the 1-Up Mushroom gives, but I do know that it basically gives you 2 regular Mushrooms, essentially giving the Mario Bros. 3 HP instead of the base 1, or 2 with a Super Mushroom.
I think what you have to do is: 1) hop out of the cannon (90 sec). 2) get time blocks. 3) get star block #1. 4) spam all code hit boxes next to each other on a green plate. 5) get star block #2. 6) repeat steps 4-6 until you run out of star blocks. 7) When you run out of star blocks (make sure you have builder suit on), spam the red coins and pound with mario or luigi until time runs out. 8) If it doesn't work, try the other brother. 9) If none of that works then check out any other youtuber who got a record of 10,000 or close to 10,000. I hope this method helps! :D

Here are a few Tricks that can help you get the most coins
1: the lakitu time block is different to the normal time block from wave 1
2: the spiny from the Piranha plant puzzleing Challenge is different to the normal spiny
3: there are actually three different bob ombs use one wave 1 bob omb then the maker set bob omb and then the parachute bob omb
4: the wave 3 Boo is different to the wave one boo but peepa is the same to the wave 1 boo
5: dry bones has actually infinite coins you just need to wait before you can interact with dry Bones again about after 20 second you can interact with dry Bones again
I think the shorter time pipes give you more coins per enemy. I got 87 coins from a single bobomb without a star when starting at a yellow 30 second pipe.
The 1 up is basicly a better mushroom and will get you more coins when reaching the flags!
