A fantastic episode, bringing history into the future. I for one really appreciate the step free access as I use a wheeled walking frame. I haven't been on the tube since I had it, so it's very handy to see what's being done to make the tube more accessible for people like me. The new entrance will be incredible when it's finished. The attention to detail is stunning. It makes what seems like a boring thing more of an experience.
Hi there. Brilliant couple of episodes on Knightsbridge. Also yes please Sirs and Ma'ams, I would love and appreciate a Docklands Light Railway themed episode too. Regards, Aaron, Lancashire.
Hi Team, part 2 was even better than part 1, can not wait to see the station complete, just hope they save some of the original tile work in places, it was great to see the old staircase uncovered that went up to the old entrance, love you all team XXXX PS, Chris's WI FI is getting very slow, he keeps freezing.
You can't beat a bit of new crashing into old like the joint between the new access passage and the remnants of the Sloane Street steps. This whole station is a revelation, who knew‽ By the by, as a nice link, the elevation of the Barclays Bank corner entrance which you followed by the shot showing Chris's urine soaked sixties office block was fortuitous as that building housed a huge back office for Barclays corporate section.
Excellent episode it is great how they are mixing the old with the new.at Knightsbridge underground station. as always well presented by all four of you. thanks so much for entertaining us all through the lockdowns etc. you have cheered us all up. thanks from the bottom of my heart. fantastic four you're great.
Was having a bad mid week at work got a great new book from library all on the board all those inspirational quotes and of course you guys on Saturday night makes it all worth while.
Platforms at Knights have now been ruined since the new entrance was built by Harrods with marble tiles taking away the character of the station, did not like the new stars in the film, as looked like maintenance stairs, surely LU will tart them up?.
Great episode. I've been looking forward to seeing an update of the Knightsbridge Step Free upgrade because of the original passages (and street level building) being brought back into use. Was hoping to see replica green Acanthus tiles being installed in the new lift ticket hall, as they were originally, but the tiles they showed (which match the original platform level tiles) will still be nice.
Pretty cool seeing a new station being built, putting back what was taken out years ago! Also loved the way the new entrance blended into the old staircase - question … why was taking over Burberry’s not considered for the entrance? Or did I miss that explanation?

Note that s03e25 is missing from the playlist but can be separately searched and watched

Those tiles are amazing
A near identical tile colour scheme to Russell Square !
Any plans for a DVD yet guys on this series?
No plans as they are all here for free.
Please, do the DLR episode!. I managed to be on the front of carriage 3 once but doing that on carriage 1 is much better.
You must get Jo Good to join you on a Hidden London and maybe she will start taking the tube more
I’m well up for this!
In the original period station photo, above and behind it looks like the edge of an enormous building or football stand - can you explain what it is?
Didn't the original Knightsbridge station have an entrance south of Hoopers Court in Basil Street which is still visible?
That’s the new entrance which you see towards the end of this episode! It’s so cool
Thanks Alex, I live close by, have done all my life so looking forward to seeing the finished article.
Enjoy the rest of your time in Portugal.
Thank you. So kind x
Do you know, I have yet to venture into the cafe at LTM. Maybe next visit.
The photo at 02:53 looks (to me) so much, as if, there is a massive radio-telescope being erected. I believe it is a hotel being built. Is that true?
