Yea, NCHammer went over that in a video, but basically the stone Daimyo wanted to break out of the alliance, and the stone & mist wanted Kohana for military purposes _(the leaf has been advancing like crazy in a very short period of time under Narutos leadership)_ and Shikamaru is trying to escalate the situation so Naruto can diffuse it and connect with everyone there. He was bluffing, but he was also betting it all on Naruto, which he planned to do even before the meeting began, and Naruto talk-no-jutus'd like a pro.

Sakura fought in the battle against Kaguya. She defeated shin Uchiha. She's got hundred healings and perfect chakra control and is closest to narutos ideals about maintaining peace while still being intimidating enough to not want to cross. She's stronger then tsunade in her prime. She definitely could be hokage if tsunade was successful. But everybody including the writers forget about her. One other footnote is she's primarily a taijutsu fighter compared to shikamaru who's primary attack is shadow possession, which is easily countered by every other threat that exists in the current world meta. But taijutsu is perfectly acceptable as a weapon against otsusuki level threats bc that cannot be absorbed and naruto bodied momoshiki just using taijutsu alone. It took baryon mode for naruto to defeat ishiki but it is taijutsu at the end of the day that defeated him. Sakura could definitely make it as a hokage and honestly I was hoping to see her be hokage after the time skip
With Neji gone, out of the Konoha 11... he's the best one to lead them. Even if Kakashi came back as Hokage, he's no match for the current threat anyways.

I will stand on this opinion till I die. Kakashi should’ve kept his DMS, especially if Kishimoto was just going to make him Hokage anyway. Most people seem to agree that DMS Kakashi was stronger than Six Paths Naruto & Sasuke, so thematically it just would’ve made sense. However, the situation here is that I don’t think Shikamaru can even beat any of the other four kages which is a problem because Konoha will be facing threats from both other villages and the Otsutsukis. Kakashi can at least handle himself against them and would’ve been the far better choice. Heck even Sakura would be a better choice as she’s at least Sannin level in terms of strength. Lee has his 8th gates, kabuto has shin clones and reanimation jitsu, shino can counter otsutsuki with his bugs, and lets not sit here and act like gaara didn’t become a kage at 15 so let’s also say hypothetically mitsuki or sardara so there kinda are people that could probably stand a chance against otsutsuki’s

I feel like a shock pick for hokage would have been kawaki. It would have shaken the fandom that a foreigner from the hidden leaf became hokage and it’ll be a shock in a good way imo. It’s not even that unreasonable. Gaara went from genin to kazekage (age 12-15). Kawaki would essentially be doing the same from 14-17. He’s also the “son” of a hokage and if he’s strong enough (which he obviously is) then it feels like it would fit. Only thing stopping him would be him having to be able to keep up the facade of narutos son

I know that this might be a MASSIVE Naruto hot take, but here I go: I think the inclusion of the Omnipotence Shinjutsu was a massive and poor writing mistake to include within the series. It feels like a poor excuse to get the plot moving forward.

It seems that Kakashi is taking on a different role that is equally important right now behind the scenes. Even though he's not the strongest in the village it doesn't really matter, with the context of the current threat levels Kakashi, Sakura, Tsunade, Nerfed Sasuke all get bodied by code, kawaki or daemon in under 30 seconds.
Shikamaru is actually the perfect leader to take over for the time being not just the lite novel I was already thinking he kinda of held back otsusuki and then kind of forced them to absorb his justu he also wasn’t destroyed utterly by their sheer presence I mean ha not on par or able to really fight them but most people aren’t even brought into the screen cause they will just be a larger hindrance than him .
The biggest issue is really his attitude and outdated way of thinking. Especially given the current situation. He's not willing to even give Boruto a chance, something that Naruto would do, and we see in the novel how quick hes willing to jump to uaing force. While Naruto and Sasuke has done a lot of the heavy lifting, every time weve fought an otsutsuki, even going back to Obito and Madara, it has been a team effort, and Shikamaru will likely push his allies away, cause hea not willing to trust in the good of others
To add on to this, the world simply doesn't need more of this Hashirama/Danzo mentality. We need more of Naruto's way of thinking. Imagine if Naruto gave up on Sasuke at the end of the series or failed to save him from the darkness. Well you don't have to imagine we've seen what happens time and time again. Hashirama gave up on Madara as a friend, Kakishi failed to save Obito as kids, and Jirya gave up on Orchimaru. All three of them, Obito and Madara especially would then go on to cause untold chaos and destruction and suffering on the world. That's the kind of mind set Shikamaru is bringing back

Isn't physical power basically worthless in Boruto since Konoha could choose to have their lab-built cyborgs like Delta doing all the heavy lifting in a theoretical war? Sure, cyborgs wouldn't be able to handle the likes of Eida, but the village doesn't even see them as the threat here. This seems to me more like a decision to choose a tactician for a leader because choosing a strongman doesn't make any sense in a world where strongmen are becoming obsolete against advancements in military technology. Like who heck cares how good of a swordsman you are when the village can just send a drone to bomb any location they want and use ninja lasers to obliterate any army. Just individual strength might be seen as obsolete in that world, even though it is because they don't have all the relevant information at the time to make that assessment
I’m slowly coming to terms with Shikamaru being Hokage. Most of the reason is it could have been worst. I don’t think Shikamaru was the best decision but I heard that Kakashi trained both Shikamaru and Sakura to be Hokage after Naruto or in case something happened to him where he can no longer be Hokage and I would pick Shikamaru over Sakura any day.

Asuma and even Temari have commented that he would make a good Hokage. Asuma said as far back as the Chunin exams that Shikamaru has a Natural disposition of a leader and that he would make a good Hokage; even Temari said as much during the fight against Obito and Madara.

I'd say Sakura is also a good canidate for Hokage. She is definitelt one of, if not, the strongest person in the village with Naruto and Sasuke gone. She probably has the best arsenal for at least dealing with Boruto and Kawaki due to being Taijutus focused. Even if she isn't as smart as Shikamaru, he could easily be her aid. She is the person who knows Sasuke best outside of Naruto, so she would be useful in the effort to get him back/stop him.
Her only draw back is that's she's emotional but she's probably the most reasonable pick since She's actually still a genius and she is literally like the 3rd strongest adult person in the world right now haha ...but since the nations are at peace ,maybe shikamaru is a perfect pick but if not then obviously no one would roll up on Sakura, she would one shot all the other kage . Shikimaru couldn't do that
to be fair and as much as I hate to say it Naruto can't and couldn't really do anything either. Even if he was here Konoha would still be doomed as he is also far weaker than any of the enemies that Konoha is facing and couldn't get past any of the hacks his opponents have either. Its' just a complete loss for Konoha at this point it was just always doomed to fall just lasted longer than Hashirama thought it would.

Sakura fought in the battle against Kaguya. She defeated shin Uchiha. She's got hundred healings and perfect chakra control and is closest to narutos ideals about maintaining peace while still being intimidating enough to not want to cross. She's stronger then tsunade in her prime. She definitely could be hokage if tsunade was successful. But everybody including the writers forget about her.
One other footnote is she's primarily a taijutsu fighter compared to shikamaru who's primary attack is shadow possession, which is easily countered by every other threat that exists in the current world meta. But taijutsu is perfectly acceptable as a weapon against otsusuki level threats bc that cannot be absorbed and naruto bodied momoshiki just using taijutsu alone. It took baryon mode for naruto to defeat ishiki but it is taijutsu at the end of the day that defeated him. Sakura could definitely make it as a hokage and honestly I was hoping to see her be hokage after the time skip

I will stand on this opinion till I die. Kakashi should’ve kept his DMS, especially if Kishimoto was just going to make him Hokage anyway. Most people seem to agree that DMS Kakashi was stronger than Six Paths Naruto & Sasuke, so thematically it just would’ve made sense. I feel like a shock pick for hokage would have been kawaki. It would have shaken the fandom that a foreigner from the hidden leaf became hokage and it’ll be a shock in a good way imo. It’s not even that unreasonable. Gaara went from genin to kazekage (age 12-15). Kawaki would essentially be doing the same from 14-17. He’s also the “son” of a hokage and if he’s strong enough (which he obviously is) then it feels like it would fit. It seems that Kakashi is taking on a different role that is equally important right now behind the scenes. Even though he's not the strongest in the village it doesn't really matter, with the context of the current threat levels Kakashi, Sakura, Tsunade, Nerfed Sasuke all get bodied by code, kawaki or daemon in under 30 seconds.
Shikamaru is actually the perfect leader to take over for the time being not just the lite novel I was already thinking he kinda of held back otsusuki and then kind of forced them to absorb his justu he also wasn’t destroyed utterly by their sheer presence I mean ha not on par or able to really fight them but most people aren’t even brought into the screen cause they will just be a larger hindrance than him .
I don't think Shikamaru is actually the eight hokage, he's pulling a Danzo when Tsunade was in a coma
The biggest issue is really his attitude and outdated way of thinking. Especially given the current situation. He's not willing to even give Boruto a chance, something that Naruto would do, and we see in the novel how quick hes willing to jump to uaing force.
While Naruto and Sasuke has done a lot of the heavy lifting, every time weve fought an otsutsuki, even going back to Obito and Madara, it has been a team effort, and Shikamaru will likely push his allies away, cause hea not willing to trust in the good of others
To add on to this, the world simply doesn't need more of this Hashirama/Danzo mentality. We need more of Naruto's way of thinking. Imagine if Naruto gave up on Sasuke at the end of the series or failed to save him from the darkness.
Well you don't have to imagine we've seen what happens time and time again. Hashirama gave up on Madara as a friend, Kakishi failed to save Obito as kids, and Jirya gave up on Orchimaru. All three of them, Obito and Madara especially would then go on to cause untold chaos and destruction and suffering on the world. That's the kind of mind set Shikamaru is bringing back

Isn't physical power basically worthless in Boruto since Konoha could choose to have their lab-built cyborgs like Delta doing all the heavy lifting in a theoretical war? Sure, cyborgs wouldn't be able to handle the likes of Eida, but the village doesn't even see them as the threat here. This seems to me more like a decision to choose a tactician for a leader because choosing a strongman doesn't make any sense in a world where strongmen are becoming obsolete against advancements in military technology. Like who heck cares how good of a swordsman you are when the village can just send a drone to bomb any location they want and use ninja lasers to obliterate any army. Just individual strength might be seen as obsolete in that world, even though it is because they don't have all the relevant information at the time to make that assessment

I’m slowly coming to terms with Shikamaru being Hokage. Most of the reason is it could have been worst. I don’t think Shikamaru was the best decision but I heard that Kakashi trained both Shikamaru and Sakura to be Hokage after Naruto or in case something happened to him where he can no longer be Hokage and I would pick Shikamaru over Sakura any day.
Sakura is a solid choice as well. She’s essentially a younger and more capable Tsunade.

I heard from multiple people who read the manga and books that Naruto and Gaara did break out of Shikimaru’s shadow possession. And Shikimaru went to try and strangle a tree wit his shadow and crush it but was unable to. Implying the other Kate were just being “nice”. Is this false?
Kakashi was my first choice as Naruto's replacement, but Shikamaru is definitely the next best choice given all of our options.

Asuma and even Temari have commented that he would make a good Hokage. Asuma said as far back as the Chunin exams that Shikamaru has a Natural disposition of a leader and that he would make a good Hokage; even Temari said as much during the fight against Obito and Madara.

I'd say Sakura is also a good canidate for Hokage. She is definitelt one of, if not, the strongest person in the village with Naruto and Sasuke gone. She probably has the best arsenal for at least dealing with Boruto and Kawaki due to being Taijutus focused. Even if she isn't as smart as Shikamaru, he could easily be her aid. She is the person who knows Sasuke best outside of Naruto, so she would be useful in the effort to get him back/stop him.

Even if he was here Konoha would still be doomed as he is also far weaker than any of the enemies that Konoha is facing and couldn't get past any of the hacks his opponents have either. Its' just a complete loss for Konoha at this point it was just always doomed to fall just lasted longer than Hashirama thought it would.

Honestly Shikamaru being Hokage does not bother me much. In fact it intrigues me. What DOES bother me is that Konohamaru somehow became top advisor to the Hokage. SOMEHOW!

These dudes got beef with Konohamaru for some reason. Konohamaru can never move up in the world or get stronger without people trying to make him seem like he is less then he is. Defeating a Pain? “It was a fluke.” Being able to make Naruto go into sage mode to fight him in the Chunin exams? “Naruto was overestimating him.” It’s ridiculous this character has so many ops praying for his downfall.
@@emmarod8746the chunin thing was non canon and made no sense konohamaru got a shallow punch on Naruto only because he fell backwards but otherwise never got kit by konohamaru and this made him use sage mode.
Naruto using sage mode was only done to konohamaru a stupid underserved win
I don't hate Konohamaru. I actually like him despite all the hate he gets, but he has yet to prove in Boruto why he would be considered for such an important advisor role. Yes he is or was the current Team 7's Sensei and is Jounin, but aside from that what qualifies him?
@@EdgardoJCruz-dk5kv I believe he is the strongest Jonin in the village and he regarded as a “konoha genius” by naruto and shikamaru. He is the nephew of Asuma so he has ties to shikamaru and it is down multiple times that konohamaru is trusted to be the room when important decisions are made by the leaf higher ups.
