Thanks, for this how to video on how to use the TMS system, I would like to see you do a more detailed deep how too. Because I have been fighting with my GT rear end wobbling at high speeds. Thanks again very much.
Hey I've done what you have only difference is I run tsm I'm using a fs-it4. But what has made a huge impact for me is going from stock to 50 weight oil in my shocks. If you can try it... it works!!!
I like the thing about throttle sensitivity. Throttle sensitivity basically limits the amount of torque the motor can put out at any given time. It basically ends up working as a traction control system that the driver adjusts depending on traction. Sweet car by the way. Would there be any advantages to running ceramic bearings in a Traxxas TRX-4?
Thanks I hope that made sense and it sounds like it did. It helps greatly. If you look at the speed run videos it launches well and runs very well, doesn't feel loose at all. I've got a TRX-4 and I'm inclined to say save your money and don't fit the ceramic bearings to it. They'd help extend the battery life a little but won't like the water so much. Also they come in to their own on the faster stuff like the 4Tec. I'd save my money and not fit them to your TRX-4. Indeed you might affect the drag brake a little as it'd want to roll more freely. Hope that makes sense as well
Nice setup. I'm surprised you can run or like TSM so high. I've found it gives a speed wobble over corrections and high speeds. So I tend to turn mine down to 10 or 20%. Maybe the VXL tires make a big difference with keeping it stable.
Netcruzer RC TECH CARS I did mention I normally have it in about 60 but the onset of fall means loads of fine debris is making the test area loose. Hopefullly all this rain will help clear it
Sensitivity = Exponential. I don't know why they changed the terminology in the app. Pre-TSM, the multi function knob used to be steering exponential by default. And Traxxas called it expo back then.
Glad to be of assistance. Please note you don't need to buy any of the telemetry stuff - see comment above/below. All you need is the bluetooth module for the Transmitter if your car's Ford GT or 4Tec 2.0 VXL
You forgot to say that you also had to ADD Telemetry sensors to the car. Unless, it is installed already. I have a 4-Tec VXXL and i didn't see sensors installed on mine.
Hi I didn't forget to say you had to add Telemetry sensors to the car, as I didn't add any or talk about the telemetry modules as I didn't add any to it! I have the VXL the same as you, you can buy a transmitter bluetooth module and that's all you need! That's all I bought and all you need to get the app to alter the cars settings as shown in the video. All I talked about was enabling the Traxxas Link App settings. The bluetooth module to do this is already on the car, but you do need to buy the one for the transmitter. You don't need to add ANY of the telemetry elements on to do this. Indeed looking on the Traxxas website they offer voltage and temp telemetry sensors if you fit the telemetry expander module. That's why I'd not mentioned it - I'd not installed them! Sorry if there was any confusion but I didn't mention telemetry - although motor temp might be good for people to know if running 'alternative' gearing!
I did NOT know that the APP would work UNLESS you had sensors installed. I own an XO-1, and of course ALL the telemetry is already installed in it, so i thought it was necessary. Thank Sir.
No worries I was by no means meaning to come across as picking a fight it's a good point that you raised and I'll mention in future a but more spefic on what's needed or not. I learn a little more daily e.g I've learnt to cover something that could have caused confusion. The app tames the beast on this car, although at 70 ish this driver gets a wobble on! it took me a lot of playing around to settle on these figures, so thought it helpful to share what works for me although everyone has their own drivign preferences. How are you liking the car? Ryans been running his in our local mega mall parking lot at nght. Hopefully going with him soon to GPS test that new pinion!
Joe I think you may need to calibrate the esc end points also check that its not in lipo mode if you're running a nimh pack (I had the same thing happen to me this morning with a traxxas rally, and I was trying to run a nimh pack but had left the car esc in lipo mode
My center drive shaft vibrates badly on my vxl when i put the speed past 40mph. When i gear it to 29/62 which is about 38mph it doesnt vibrate very bad. Its like it hits a harmonic vibration right between 39-41mph it starts to settle after that . Do you think my shaft is warped?
It does sound like a shaft issue OR a bearing that's on the way out. Remove the shaft and roll it over glass this will show if it's bent. If it's not then it's likely a bearing
Well on the 4tec the lower it is the better. You could raise it by putting as many preload spacers in as possible to make it sit as high as possible on the springs but that'll limit suspension travel as it'll be very stiff. I've not got the car in front of me but I think it's got 3 positions you can put the lower shock mount in, but not 100% certain without getting it out. Or you could fit longer shocks and springs but it's not designed to ride high

No worries glad it was of help. I've had some foam tires come today so if the rain ever dries up I'll test them next week

Lord Christopher should have said this running the tsm just tweaked a lot more besides it with the app
I have tsm in my Cen Reeper monster truck. But its actually made it worse. My question is,,is there a certain way the actual gyro is positioned?

The parts do not appear to be listed?
How fast does this build go ?
Can't wait to see it run!! 👍

What gearing should I be running with 7700kv Castle motor in my 4tec I have the stock spur gear.
What weight diff fluid are you running in your diffs

Netcruzer RC TECH CARS change name, charge more 😋
nice changes ,qnd suspension mods, I like my suspension very loose
Thanks
thanks for posting this helped me out a lot

ford2000svt. Thank you Because Traxxas will have running back and forth to the store for TSM parts. Thy don't explain this very well at purchase.
Hi! I bought three of these and all of them have the same issue. the tires move direction but no execration. Any idea?

how do i make the suspention higher

@@DriftomaniacsRC no i was thinking to make it a rally car
Sounds like you had to buy and install/replace a lot of stuff on a quite expensive car (for what it is) just to make it going properly.
Kasa Pa the main change was the Bluetooth module the bearings are just nice to have items
