Camp 9 back in the day of the old Bridge and wood Dam near the power station, I was fishing just above the Dam on the gravel bar (posted keep out due to fluctuating water levels!) and caught an all Silver Trout with no markings that I decided was a Koke. Always wondered how it got up there
land locked kokanee are definetly in most lakes up here and in the river, we also have lake run rainbow trout, at one time you could have called them steelhead but the dams contain them from travel.
Nice fish, but judging by how it looked when you netted it and how long it took for it to swim away after you released it, you overplayed that fish. Other than that, nice vid.
Really crisp into 🤙🏽 love the content, went ahead and smashed that subscribe button. Keep on fishin’ on 🎣
Thank you !
Great area . Caught a 3LBS brown near the green bridge at the confluence many great looking fish in that river .
glad to hear other people getting after it!

Nice fish. Was that not a steelhead?
@@Popcornbeetle no came up from a lake
Does this section really have nice swimming holes for kids? Or would there be nicer ones in gold country or nearby?
I would not swim here as the river can change without notice of fluctuation
Your channel is awesome 👍🏼 keep up the good work! Subscribed!

Above New melones
I tried going there last year but at the turn off too camp 9 rd from parretts ferry rd says its a private rd no trespassing
locals dont like people around the road is owned by pg&e and there is public access to the river.
You tried the first road, a quarter mile further is the actual camp 9 and it's never closed by locals
