Thank you!
Thanks so much for these exercises! I have been religiously doing your hip strengthening exercises since being diagnosed with borderline osteoporosis several months ago. Would you please let us know what kind of resistance bands you are using in these spine exercises. Purchased the type of round bands you were using for hip exercises - thanks for introducing new product ideas to try. Working hard to avoid medications!
You are welcome! It is a good idea to buy a variety of resistance bands-light, medium, and heavy. You can find a variety pack on line or in a sporting goods or discount store. The one I am using in the video is a medium flat latex band. It good to have a variety of bands because you may use them down the road for other muscle groups where you might need more or less resistance.
Thank you. Pls keep going.
Thank you!

Can I do all these exercises if I have recovered from a spine compression fracture due to osteoporosis
Your excellent question deserves a lengthy answer. Please email me at caroljmichaels@gmail.com so that we can set up a time to talk. My answer to your question will depend on a number of variables that will be unique to you.
How often do you suggest doing these exercises
Strength training should be performed 2 to 3 times per week.
Your exercises are great! Do you think it is safe to do these band exercises with a compression fracture of my spine from a fall back in February this year. My specialist did say about 3 wks ago that should start to exercise. So I was just checking - thank you. I look forward to your reply ☺
The exercises are safe as long as you have healed and have medical clearance to strength train. Perform the exercises slowly carefully and with control. To start keep your knees slightly bent and the legs extending out not more than halfway to the floor. Never work through pain or anything seems even a bit off.
thank you for the advise
How often to you suggest I do these exercises?
Strength training exercises should be performed 2 to 3 times per week. Leave one day in between sessions.
Squats deadlifts weight training ect.
Thank you. Looks like a good program, so Ill be trying it. Is there an alternative to using flat bands? Unfortunately, they tend to break after awhile.
Thank you. I am so glad that you are trying the program. Try using a band that is thicker which should last longer.
I have just purchased from Amazon some fabric bands, a set of three different strengths. They are stronger than the other type but still okay on the hands.
Should have something supporting your neck if for osteoporosis
Osteoporosis exercise prescription is not one size fits all. The individual should be evaluated to determine which modifications are necessary.
Is this safe if you have scoliosis?
The exercises are safe for scoliosis depending on the severity and type of scoliosis and general health and fitness level of the individual. With severe curvature you should show the video to your doctor for clearance.

Can these excercise make me loose belly fat?
The purpose of the video is to demonstrate safe ways to exercise with low bone density. The abdominal exercises demonstrated will help to strengthen the muscles but one has to also change their food intake in order to loose belly fat. You can not spot reduce..
Are these exercises also safe for those of us who have undergone extensive pelvic floor surgery?
You should show the video to your doctor or pelvic floor rehabilitation specialist. My clients who have had pelvic floor surgery have performed these exercises without a problem. There are various pelvic surgeries and everyone heals differently.
