Merry Xmas. But I have my doubts about the amount of flour in the pudding.
It's all humbug I tell you, Humbug.
I'm off now to watch Her Majesty's Christmas speech to The Commonwealth.
Might even tune into the BBC world service on SW to hear it again.
Long live Her Majesty, Long may She Reign. Long live Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Her overseas dependencies, territories, dominions and The Commonwealth.
    Nice capacitor :-)

Thanks Ade. Is the BBC still on short wave?

VK6CS Yes, repeated through what's left of Radio Australia which has been closed down.
Comes via satellite to various installs around the world like Singapore and Kununurra.
Don't get me started on strategic ownership of SW/MW/HF capability......
Every country should have it. Even Russia and Norway have closed down all their stations. Bloody sad.
"This is the BBC world service in London, here is the news, read by Wilfred Pickles"
You probably knew Wilfred, right ?
Keep up the Xmas joy and always smile :-)

      VK6CS 31, 49 and 75 meters.
Here is the link you want.
Make sure you proceed to the Antenna Transmitter information PDF attached to each region.
For SE Asia you will find the 3 bands above and the exact kick-off time for each frequency in Coordinated Universal Time, oops, GMT..
      www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/2x9tqt6mc05vB2S37j8MWMJ/global-short-wave-frequencies
You can of course listen to many other global BBC frequencies but these are for our area of propaganda.
      Enjoy :-)

Thanks Ade. Three Radio Australia short wave transmitters are closing down at the end of January.

VK6CS Roger. They will be taken over by contractors who will further on-contract to anyone who wants a signal broadcast.
After the Darwin Port debacle / fiasco I wouldn't be surprised if China rents the txérs and beams their version of the truth to Europe long path.

Merry Humbug to you. I do most fervently hope that hat does not create some weird type of electrical interference to your flux capacitor.

Hi Steve, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :)
What Vac Cap are you using? Looking at buying one from ebay this week.

Lol, I see you are whole heartedly enthused by xmas, like me. How much did the variable cap set you back?

It's difficult to hide my enthusiasm for Xmas for sure. The capacitor was $125 second hand from a hamfest.

You're probably right. If I get too repetitive I'm sure you'll let me know.
