I have to agree that this is a great example of David's personality. He is truly a good person who has quite rightfully embraced the roles we love him for.
Thank you thank you so much for posting this video!! I'm in the audience with my mom and daughter. I've looked for it in the past and never found it and see it was put up six months ago. That was one of our best vacations ever!

@@StormsparkPegasus no the fourth and last season ended in 1986. They should have done the movie not much later then that, with the original cast. The 2008 movie was terrible, I don't like remakes with different actors.
@@thedude8046 It wasn't a remake, it was a continuation. It respected the continuity of the original show, there were many references and Hasselhoff even cameo'd in it. The guy in the new show was Michael Knight's estranged son. Was it perfect? Absolutely not, it was flawed in a lot of ways. But the 2008 show was the only one since the original show that actually respected the original show. Yes it did a few things wrong and could've been better, but I consider it flawed instead of bad.
I'm often grateful when i see David interviewed; Michael Knight was my childhood hero and far too often i hear stories / news items / scandals of actors who portrayed characters that once were someone's childhood hero, that tarnished or even ruined the image that kids value. It's probably not even a fair standard to hold anyone to, whether it's an actor or your own dad ! David Hasselhoff has never ruined my childhood love of Michael Knight. In fact as i've gotten older and understood life better, he's actually reinforced it - mostly just by being himself, and being relaxed, easy going and natural when he's interviewed. About a decade ago, there was a reality show in the UK that featured David and his 2 daughters, and i was really reluctant to watch it - just because i didn't want to risk seeing the man who was Michael Knight turn out to be a dick on reality television. In the end i took a chance, and what i watched didn't disappoint me at all. In fact i was quite pleased with what was shown. And relieved too. And that is why I'm grateful - he is Michael Knight to me. I haven't been let down.
Ahhh I had forgotten about this. I worked for an NBC affiliate that carried this back when this aired. Thanks for sharing. Too bad they never made a Knight Rider movie
There actually WAS a Knight Rider movie called Knight Rider 2000, made for television in 1991. It was a continuation of the series, although it could've been a lot better. The 2008 TV movie that led into the Knight Rider 2008 series was a lot of fun and Hasselhoff had a cameo at the end.

Its very good to see young David he looks great here love his white suit he kind of reminds me of my dad when he used to dress up to go play at the casinos in Atlantic city
Nice to see this again. The Hoff is a class act in every way.Wayne Brady is also a real cool guy as well.He was great and a villain in the cw series Black lightning.sadly the kr movie mentioned here never happened. My biggest problem with these so called re boots is they screw it up.case in point.Dukes had a few tv movies on CBS and The General was (Suprise)still a 1968 dodge charger. When James Garner made the Rockford files tv movies he still had his last seen car a 1978 firebird.Columbo returned in the late 1980's and early 1990's and he still had his late 50's Peugeot. Point being all of those were regular cars and the fictional kitt was a multi million dollar specialty .in no way could I or my friends or family swallow the sequels.no one I know cared for knight rider 2000.the day after that aired several people I did not even know expressed distasteful opinions even my ups delivery guy said to me they should have used your car (82 kitt trans am)and he (Hasselhoff)isn't even the knight rider anymore.Lets face it.when the 57 chevy went in the drink Michael would have drowned. And kitts so called brain was not ruined by the salt water?if the Hoff showed up in the original kitt to help and left in kitt in the end maybe that would have been acceptable. My Hope's of ever seeing The Hoff and the trans am in a reboot are probably never going to happen.too bad.
Knight Rider Movie....WoW!!! Can't wait!!! Hang on a minute, this was back in 2004?..........I thing David has being riding this pony for a while and still no Knight Rider?
Germany Import from US The Hoff American Import from Germany Rammstein thanks to Michael Savage of The Savage Nation during the Hezbollah War in 2006 and McCain picked Palin in 2008. Palin the comedic version to Rebecca Holden.
Wait a minute you can't get off the hook that fast Hasselhoff !! What about the Knight Rider Movie ??? This was shot in 2004 sooooooo shouldn't it have been finished by now ? What happened to it ? Keep hearing from David in different interviews Knight Rider is coming back but nothing ever happens lol. Does anybody know if we'll ever see NEW Knight Rider ever again ? Either TV Show or a Movie ? Or does Hasselhoff just go around saying it for no reason ?
Now do not take offence , but Davids interaction with black people is pretty obvious that he has a problem with them. This is not the first time i have noticed this, but coming across this interview kinda makes it obvious. Look how rude and disrespectful he was as he failed to shake Waynes hand and how uncomfortable Wayne felt. Throughout the show he barely made eye contact with Wayne and i have noticed an incredible amount of awkwardness throughout the interview. I got that same vibe when Peter Parros joined the later series . There was an awkward tension between them . I guarantee they did not get along.
You're looking for racism that isn't there. He did shake his hand and made eye contact with him throughout the interview. You must've watched an interview from an alternate universe, or something.
@@Knightcowboy89 No it is YOU that is looking at it via a different universe because at the beginning of the show, Wayne is seen holding out his hand to shake Davids and is ingored . You can see how offended Wayne was. Ill give you a minute to LOOK AGAIN!

Airwolf was darker though.. shame what happened to JMV 😔
Love that he is so real and candid on interviews!!
Ah, another reference to a Knight Rider movie that never happened. Still good to see Younger David again. 😁
It was a real shame. There should have been a knight rider movie right after the series ended That would have been so cool.
I dunno, there was the 2008 movie that led into that series. Maybe they were early in the planning of that during this interview.
