Great work. Despite the incredibly short rule book, I needed to hear this one clearly explained out loud to be sure I “got it.”

Word games are tricky to grasp. Glad the video was helpful.

Word games are tough for me to explain - it gets really wordy, but it is fairly easy after your first round!

Yeah, I still don't understand, either!
In your example, when they sent "Sherlock" back, are they trying to get them to guess their words, too - or just trying to figure out the cipher??
Is anyone trying to figure out the cipher, or is it just used to determine some points?
      Thanks.

@@JJ_TheGreat it is tricky to understand (and for me tricky to explain). Both the alien and the team of scientists have 3 words they are trying to get the other half of their team to guess. So Sherlock is trying to help the alien guess one of their 3 words.
But, the scientists also are trying to figure out what the cipher is. So the alien, who can see the cipher, will score their word, giving them info about which letters are in which category (trust, amplify, suspicion).
To me the cleverness in the design is that the scientists may know that either an S or a V is the suspicion letter (making each word worth negative points). They would want to figure out which letter is the suspicion letter by writing a clue that both helps the alien guess one of their clues, while making sure it includes an S or a V so they can figure out which letter is the suspicion letter.
Cause at the end of the game the scientists will make a guess of which letters are in each of the 3 cipher categories.

@5:26 Ummm wouldn't the score be 0, because of the 2 Ps counting as 2 Points? Just received the game, excited to play but ugh this How-To is very confusing.

The value is indicated by the cipher. In the case of the example word "POOP" there are two P's which are Trust letters! If you look at the Trust section it says three letters are +1 to your value. Said letters are: B, L, and P. This means a single P in your word is now an additional 1 to your value. Using the same example, POOP, right now would be +2!
Moving over to the Amplify section, the word POOP does not have any letters here. The currently Amplify letters are: S and K.
Lastly, the Suspicion letter is O. Well, there are two O's in POOP, right? The amount doesn't matter here. A single letter in your word that's a part of the Suspicious section will ALWAYS make your overall value a negative. This just means you'll place a "-" in front of the value. Since POOP, up to this point, is a +2, the letter O being present in POOP makes the value a total of -2.
      I hope that helps you!

😢😢 confusing how to play video. Still no clear image of how the game works. 😂😂😂 Seems like a hard deduction word game.

Seems like I’ll have to redo the video once I get my hands on the final copy. Sorry the video didn’t clear things up for you.
