If I’m not mistaken it looks like at least one of the boats has a toe control rudder and thigh straps. Does the forward end of the thigh strap rub against the control wire for the rudder pedal? Any chance you can post a photo of the bow end of that boat so I can see how the attachment of the thigh strap is positioned? Thanks. Marc
Almost all of my surf sessions have both toe control and thigh braces, no issues with effecting cables - this may help but if not let me know which kayak you have and what thigh braces you have access to and I may be able to help ua-cam.com/video/Sn4rt2CA7hc/v-deo.html
@@PaddleGuy1 I have a Hurricane Skimmer 140. I haven’t purchased thigh braces yet. Looking things over, I expect that the thigh brace straps will rub against the rudder control wires. I have been wondering about what kind of problems that would create. I use a kayaksailor rig on my boat and am hoping that thigh braces will allow me to point a few degrees higher. ua-cam.com/video/uLyYsiQOB4w/v-deo.html
@@mb7226 how high are the rudder cables? Have not seen that as an issue myself..worst case perhaps just as tube over the section it crossed to give some protection
@@PaddleGuy1 A tube is a great idea if I find I do have a problem. The wire at the pedal is 2 inches above the coaming. I assume this is a normal installation?
