Wow, never knew this wonderful song was sang by you sir (Pst.Nathaniel Bassey). Back in the university, the choir in my campus fellowship sang this song and it touched me. I always sing whenever I remember the song but didn't check online to download it for some reasons I dnt know of 😉( maybe I dnt want to cry or because I felt I know the lyrics well enough). Hi Efya! The reason is because you're reclining on your strength to help you live the God kind of life. If only you allow Jesus take it over. He knows how to pattern your life according to his own good pleasure.
Never forget God...no matter what, know that God is for you. He made you and your help is in Him. Don't let it break your heart in such way. If you fall in sin, you can have godly sorrow, and it will bring you to repentance. God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins. Like you said, He always shows mercy. Do not have the kind of sorrow that made Judas hang himself after betraying Jesus. Peter also denied Jesus thrice as Jesus prophesied earlier..but his own kind of sorrow led him to repentance.
But do well to always repent when the Spirit convicts you of sin. Also, seek after and grow in God and in the power of His Spirit. We have victory over sin. Stay blessed because you are blessed already - pay no attention to the tricks of the devil.
