Oh this was so so so lovely and refreshing. I personally feel like I have to do these big adventures to be a great mom/teacher for my son. Just knowing those moments when I'm just resting and feel like I'm not doing enough, it's everything my guy is needing and appreciating. The first time my baby kissed me I was laying on the floor exhausted and he was crawling on me smiling. Thank you both for this.

    Jess, I just love you.
I love your authenticity and how down to earth you are. I'm a FTM with an 8 week old son. I don't really spend much time on social media and certainly don't really watch UA-cam usually. But I found you online when looking for information on how to care for an infant and you are the only one I followed. What drew me in was in a sea of very strong opinions served with sides of guilt and shame, you were the only one who offered tips and said this is what works for me, I'm not saying this is the only way, if it works for you then great, but trust your instinct mama. You got this. Your humility and compassion are refreshing and I don't know what I would've done without your videos during my pregnancy. They really helped lessen my anxiety.
Don't doubt yourself for a second. There are people, like me, who need you to be doing what you're doing. It's made a HUGE difference. So congratulations on your new podcast! That's super exciting and Jess, YOU GOT THIS!

Omg motherhood being a sweet spot...I can't even imagine thinking that about myself. Motherhood is such a learning curve and not natural to me, but I show up and do my best ❤️ I have a two and a half year old and a 2 month old. Thanks for doing this podcast. 💗

Jess, I’ve been a fan since your “how to take care of a newborn” video and I don’t have kids 😅 I just think you’re so wise and entertaining, and you’re changing the way this generation thinks about motherhood for the better. If my partner and I have kids one day, I feel like your content is such a good resource I’ll refer to again and again. Congratulations on making a podcast!

I relate so much to what you said about feeling like motherhood isn't your sweet spot. Sometimes I feel like every mum around me was made for this and I don't know why I struggle so much. Maybe I'm just more vocal about how hard it is or maybe I genuinely am just not very good at this job

Diaper: I always looked for the pee stripe. Definitely sent my nephew home once with a diaper on backwards.

My grandma (born ~1930) doesn't even bother sniffing the diaper - she just shoves her pinky down the back to see what she finds. Hardcore.

This was incredible ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. Oh my goodness I want to collab I had post partum anxiety and depression with my first and he was in early intervention and has sensory processing disorder and I’m a mother baby nurse lactation consultant and I can tell you that NO One comes into this even with the biggest supports being good at it. I think you might just be more aware of your actual emotions and that that is your super power❤. PM me I PMed you on Instagram. That is a Whole person that is!!!! I love this!!
