Double-edged sword. If people are not proud of their race, they fall into the category of race shaming. Racism (prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized) is basically insulting other races. You can be proud of your race and not be racist. Just like how you can be proud of other peoples races. @logangodofcandy

When you call out a liberal on their rank hypocrisy, it almost always results in a tantrum. Most of them surround themselves with a protective "bubble" of other liberals who reinforce their views, no matter how outrageous. The second they are confronted by the complexities of reality, that protective bubble pops and they start to realize their reasoning is illogical. When fairly debated, their arguments quickly become circular and/or unsupportable... and they short circuit, resorting to name-calling or even violent outbursts.
A liberal forced to leave the bubble, even for a few moments... is like an addict being forcibly detoxed, with all the same screeching and wailing. If given the opportunity, they will run away from reality rather than face it. They head straight back to their drug of choice... the comforting bubble of liberalism. Inside that warm bubble, they can continue to pretend they are the virtuous ones, and all those people who live in the real world outside the bubble are "part of the problem".

As far as I know sex is defined by our chromosomes so it might actually be somewhat of a spectrum but besides (XX) (XY) the other options (at least for now) are rare disorders and even then are defined as male or female.
The only other sex I'm aware of is hermaphroditism which is below 2% of the population and you can mark both male and female for that.

Sex is not dependent on chromosomes. You could have xx males. Sex almost entirely aligns with chromosomes, so chromosomes should be the basis for consideration, but there are always exceptions. Humans could potentially evolve away from Y chromosomes entirely, and other genetic markers could determine sex. Humans are abnormal in that we do almost always have sex based on having or lacking the Y chromosome.

I'm sorry, its not just white people who do this. My great-grandmother was basically two thirds American Indian. My grandmother was born strawberry blond and married a red-headed Dutchman. My mother and half of my aunts and uncles have red hair, the rest black hair. My immediate family, my mother has red hair, my father black hair, of four children two have red hair and two black. No problem right? Well, one of my sisters was born with darker skin than the rest of us. Being in TX, at church there seemed to be a consensus that she was adopted and was actually Hispanic. People kept coming to me from my teen years onward asking if we were teaching my sister her heritage. I must admit that being Canadian I did not know the fact that the officer was mentioning about the old one drop rule, never heard that before. People will automatically fall to saying a person is black or Hispanic or Asian or white purely based on what is visible, when they don’t know the family and a lot of people are also looking to call themselves something to have a group identity instead of being a individual. We need to stop putting race as what identifies us as people let character of person and merit decide who you are to others not race or culture or group association. We are individuals not groups.

I think it's up to Obama to decide if he identifies as black or white. But also, this brings up a great conversation wherein people of mixed heritage are automatically assigned to the darker parentage.
This would also belie the notion that our conception of difference based on skin color is...baseless, and holds no scientific merit.
For example a pre-European contact African, staring at their reflection, would never have used the word black to define themselves. That's a label that could only be given from the outside.
This isn't to say there isn't a black identity, or a white identity. But I would argue that holding these identities give us a literally and figuratively shallow understanding of ourselves.

The Idea that someone is Black if they had a Black father or Grandfather was actually something started by the Democrat Party and used a lot by the Democrat Party during the Jim Crow Era, it was called the 'One Drop Rule' and was created by Literal Racists.
    "One-drop rule
The one-drop rule was a legal principle of racial classification that was prominent in the 20th-century United States. It asserted that any person with even one ancestor of black ancestry is considered black."
This rule was used to keep people from getting married, as such a Man that looked White had a Black Great grandfather I believe and thus he was ruled as black under the One-Drop Rule and couldn't marry the woman he loved, a white woman, under Miscegenation law. So it's funny to see these Leftists, Progressives and supposed Anti-Racists embrace a Racist Ideology......

"The one-drop rule was not formally codified as law until the 20th century, from 1910 in Tennessee to 1930 as one of Virginia's "racial integrity laws", with similar laws in several other states in between."
"In the United States, many U.S. states historically had anti-miscegenation laws which prohibited interracial marriage and, in some states, interracial sexual relations. Some of these laws predated the establishment of the United States, and some dated to the later 17th or early 18th century, a century or more after the complete racialization of slavery.[1] Nine states never enacted anti-miscegenation laws, and 25 states had repealed their laws by 1967. In that year, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Loving v. Virginia that such laws are unconstitutional under the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution."

Look at what happened to the Melungeons, and how they were “discovered” hiding their racial heritage. It’s truly disgusting. But it speaks to his point perfectly-they had white family and ancestors. I belief they are a tri-racial group, and some of their ancestry is Portuguese, but since so many of them could pass as white they were hunted (and anyone who thinks this only happened in the south is mistaken-wealthy northern whites didn’t want their daughters marrying Melungeons back then either). Point being that NONE of us are “pure”, so I don’t get the obsession with the concept of racial purity from anyone. Those of Asian descent are probably more “pure” than most if they came from Japan or Korea, possibly China (not sure) but the rest of us? No chance.
