Doesn't civitai block view of nsfw models by default and you have to explicitly opt in to see them?
Yup. You are correct. Although that is a good option for some people; a business or an average user probably doesn't want to be associated with a site that has a porn filter. Imagine showing a client something and forgetting to log in to filter the nsfw stuff or that or they see an 18+ warning. Hell I get nervous making a video about CIVITAI because I might forget to edit something.
With the sfw focus in mind you'll get more models focused on professional things rather than a lot of the waifus. Although you see a lot of woman now because it's stuff brought over from CivitAI. Also it will be safe for kids and others in the future without the porn filter. This is a step forward in my opinion.
I see many models with can't use for commercial use licencse. Can you elaborate on that plz, thanks.
This is also true for some models on CIVITAI but it doesn't say it in words, it has an icon of a jpeg image icon with a cross over it. I haven't compared which one has more or less. Even if there isn't a warning I would be cautious because the model can be a derivative of another model or someone just uploaded a model they downloaded somewhere else to take credit for it.
The makers of this site mentioned that the "Premium" models (paid) models are covered under commercial license. I will say that user made models are probably not ok to use commercially regardless of what any site says but it's up for debate. Unless you have a company like Openai, adobe or this site backing you up I wouldn't try it.
