Hi, do you anchor the tether on the back of the car seat down to the floor for this rear facing car seat? We have a 2021 RAV4 and we find nothing to anchor the back tether to.
@dexterhua3623 ‐ you do not use the tether strap when the seat is installed rear-facing. The tether is only used when forward-facing. For now, just make sure the strap is hooked on to its little storage clip on the side of the car seat. This keeps the tether strap and metal hook secure, so it's can't go flying around in a crash and injure your child. Hope that helps!
How far back was the driver seat? We are looking at the RAV4 and one concern is that the car seats will be too big and not allow for leg room at the front. We have the Graco Extend2fit, rear facing and a graco 4ever front facing. No concern for the front facing car seat. What do you think for the rear facing seat?
