I love how you clearly explain and teach the process. I also love that you are about HEALTHY HAIR and well as the beautiful canvas!!!! That is how I think about hair too. 💙 Thank you for sharing your process and knowledge. She looks absolutely amazing! I live in Europe so I'm attempting my own silk press. We'll see how that goes🥲
💙 You have a great voice & tutorial style! I have just started silk pressing my own hair. Im currently using 350 heat, so it doesnt get super straight like this woman's gorgeous hair, and doesnt last long at all, but I am loving doing it. My hair is growing and feeling very healthy. I feel that the heat straitening is helping because its training the hair? I feel like my curl pattern is improving w/less knots, tangles, ect... Just sharing all of that for ladies/people who might be reading this and considering this technique to improve their hair. But I also increased my water and vitamin intake, my deep conditioning routine, and I also keep moisture on my hair, and use a biotin shampoo.
If f your girl pattern is “improving” /changing, doesn’t that mean heat damage? I did my own hair a few years back and I had less tangled because I heart damaged my hair. I ended up cutting up a lot of it off.
I went natural again and my hair touched humidity and reverted. Now in colder months my hair is more trained so I flat iron it and can leave it straight 2 weeks minimum but it will get a bit oily after 2 weeks so I rewash and flat iron. I love being a straight natural. Easy to detangle, do the same thing every time and it comes out cute no matter what every morning with minimal effort. I use the Olaplex line and LOVE IT. I'm as cheap as they come and I spent on Olaplex lol
Your clients hair is beautiful. I'm a natural that only silk press twice a year. I'm 4c/fine hair & I've experienced heat damage only pressing twice a year. I'm going to teach myself how to blow dry & silk press so I can use the *correct* amount of heat for my fine hair. Your work is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful look. I love that you mention that you live in a humid state in your videos! I do too! That is very helpful information. It gives me more realistic expectations.
Beautiful and you handled her hair with care!! I also have a remington flat iron from target it's my handy tool and it straightens my natural hair as if I had a relaxer
Does it take away your natural curl pattern? I’m looking for a good flat iron but I wear my hair naturally most of the time & don’t want to mess up my natural curls. Thanks in advance!
@@angeld271 no I use a leave in conditioner and heat protectant. I section my hair into four and let it air dry a little before I blow dry it. I don’t straighten it often
Excellent work. Thank you for your professionalism, and hair supplies list. I do my silk press myself now, my hair has grown and stays nice for a few weeks, hopefully with your video help, my hair will become better.😊
Wow! What a beautiful head of hair. I'm a natural hair, and I'm amazing with the out come 😭my natural curly hair is not easy to hold a do after wash condition and curl. 3 day the most. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Wow seriously I’m almost in tears lol I soo wish I could come to you my hair is in so need of someone who knows about my type of hair my scalp etc . God bless you beautiful beautiful sister. ❤️❤️❤️💖💖💖
💙💙💙💙 I really enjoyed this video and how you talked to us, you are so warm and positive and it's easy to tell you are passionate about hair!! I thoroughly enjoyed watching you style her hair yayy!
💙💙I appreciate you mentioning the use of a wax or biosilk to expel humidity. I have 3b/c, 1 of my girls has 2c/3a and my other girl has 4a/b & she sweats in her scalp a lot. I want to give her great results for her hair type so she can feel beautiful and appreciate & embrace her hair. Thanks so much.💙💙
@@diva0716 I bought everything on the Nairobi line. Biosilk was very expensive so I'll try it later. The Nairobi smokeless cream press and wax worked decently. I have a TYMO straightner but I think I need a regular hot comb for her hair. I also used hairspray (Paul Mitchell) afterward because once I wrapped it and put a bonnet on it overnight it puffed back up. I just use flexirods and a scarf so her scalp can breathe @night. Best results yet.
OMG this was not only a very informative tutorial , but a tutorial of substance. I could not stop watching! You explained everything from the time a stylish shampoo to the very finish. You are a true professional in its entirety. I only wish you were here in the D" i have 4c hair and that i keep in cornrows unless i am doing a show or a function. I find it very bizarre that no one can seem to press my hair where it will last and i refuse to go the chemical route. Lol. I only wish i could be one of your canvas. 😊😊😊 What a amazing job!
It turned out absolutely beautiful and the process from shampoo(brand) to the end(of all products and equipment used) LISTED in the description would be great TFS
Blue heart. I love to sal my hair with Blue Magic Castor oil grease and oil my scalp with light oils. Mostly, I wear crochet braids or my own short cornrows. I try not to go more than 4 months without a press and curl with a trim. My hair loves that! My last experience was really bad cuz the shampoo process was horrible. The lady didn't consult me about my hair, changed temps while the water was on my head, soaked my back and acted like I was wrong to ask for a new towel. Lastly, she also burned me the pressing scomb.zhe charged me extra cuz my hair was short. Never again!
💙 I sooooooo needed to watch this video. Your work is amazing! Did my silk press today and my ends were exactly as you described. I still have about 1 1/2 inch of blonde that refuses to leave so I keep trimming little by little until it’s gone. But that blonde is persistent and makes my ends look so shabby and because of this my hair won’t lie down!! 😩
I moved to Miami a few months ago and refused to flat iron my hair cause the humidity. But I need some simplicity when doing my hair in the morning, so I'm giving it a try myself due to not having a stylist I trust yet. So it was great that you mentioned your method is humidity tested and passed😂 Edit: yes, the salon is def a relaxing experience. This is why I dislike when my stylist wants to talk. I know sometimes it can be boring and monotonous to do a silk press but I am relaxing from a long school week and I just wanna sit and relax for a few lol
Blue heart. I love the style you just did on her hair my hair is much shorter but would love to have this style. I have gone natural over the last two years maybe more. But I love the straight hair I have mostly had sew-ins but I want to do my own hair not a sew-in where are you located I am also in Miami Florida
Beautiful , I’m considering getting a silk press . I live in Florida as well. Maybe 4 years ago I did get it a straightening cream Put in . It was frizzing by mid day lol . I haven’t had a perm in over 7 yrs . I’m just considering it for my bday . I’ll be 58 yrs young , and want something different from curly . Lol great video . Thanks
