    Dexter Filkins joined The New Yorker in January and has reported from Yemen and Afghanistan. Previously, he was at the Times, where he won a Pulitzer Prize as part of a team covering Afghanistan and Pakistan. He has received two George Polk Awards and three Overseas Press Club Awards. His book, The Forever War, won a National Book Critics Circle Award.

    @Ruthieal Perhaps, but what seems like reasonable criticism of a Pakistani offensive shouldn't be taken to be a huge bias, dogmatic anti-Pakistani point.

    @Andybaby It doesn't help that in Africa 'Sovereign Leader' = US propaganda speak for 'Warlord'

    dude Pakistan looses almost 10-15 soldiers in this fight daily... i hope u visited FATA in 80's... now u cant take your ass out of Islamabad...
