Thank you Ramzy Masri for the beautiful sad things you said. As a Jewish American, I've been torn apart by the Hamas attack and then even more torn apart by the ongoing destruction of many thousands of people of Gaza. You have a good heart to offer the fact that we are cousins (we are!) and talk about peace.
Thank you for bringing Ramzy on. That is the part of the story that we don't hear enough first hand. I am Jewish, but I can't see the bombing of Gaza without understanding what those bombs mean to the children and adults there. An eye for an eye just leaves us more blind.
Dear Ramzy, thank you for giving your perspective, as close as this painful chapter in history is to you and your family. We need to foster compassion for each other, for our beautiful planet. I'm grateful for Crooked every day.
Thank you, Ramzy, I really value what you shared and I am glad you are in the world. And thank you What a Week(day) team, once again: I appreciate you.
Kumbaya. It took generations of wars and American deaths for democracy to exist here. Wake up. Freedom to be gay or a woman not covered or controlled took work. It’s not “free”. They don’t allow this. Wake up!
Thanks, Ramzy, and thanks, Jon for continually trying to help us find our way. Being part of the evangelical culture, which welcomed the new state of Israel as a fulfillment of prophecy, it has hurt to see Israel often behaving more like a terrorist nation than a responsible democracy. It's good to see young people attempting to handle this current situation with wisdom. Ramzy for President in 2048!
Ramzy, I loved what you said. I'm a Jewish American. We are cousins and I don''t understand hate and thirst for power. I only want everyone to be friends and share all the interesting things about our cultures.
At 6:33 in the video, Lovett said that the cop who arrested this grieving, sick woman said “this is why I became a cop.” Was that sarcasm? Or did he actually say that? The reason I am unsure is because who removes a whole F-KING toilet like that like it’s CSI or some sh!t?!!! Legitimate question though! Did he really say that?!!
He was making a joke about what the cop was thinking. Oh, and welcome to Ohio, the best of FL & TX of the North. From an article on the incident (and I'm not putting in the reason(s) why they removed the toilet) in the Tribune Chronicle: "Guarnieri (Warren Assistant Prosecutor) said the toilet had to be removed by police and taken to the Trumbull County Coroner’s Office. The fetus was about 22 weeks old when the incident took place on Sept. 22." (Note that the woman being charge is Black, and this part of OH is purple, leaning red, along with being an economically depressed area of the state.)
There is an incredibly thin line (and becoming thinner) between anti-Netanyahu regime and anti-Zionism. And anti-Zionism is absolutely anti-Semitism, and anyone who disagrees needs to look into what Zionism actually is. The problem is that the "just because it's critical of Israel doesn't mean it's anti-Semitic" line is being used to excuse actual acts of anti-Semitism, especially on college campuses. Jewish students are being denied their right to say for themselves what is hateful and harmful. Just look at how synagogues and other Jewish institutions regardless of their stances on Israel are being threatened and attacked at incredibly increased rates since October 7.
its Not a dem vs republican party battle as the actors are paid for as your view is scewed and comedy is not what i see. 😢 very disappointing. Disconcerting to see . Native Americans were here before the White man who expands the protected land as look to Maui right now. WTF will you do for them?! Homelessness & poverty here prior to the open boarder movement. I hear naive children touting BS
Yes, listening to Elon speak is like listening to one of those dinner scenes in a movie with sparse dialog and just a bunch of chewing and clinking of silverware on plates. He is so clearly terrible at public speaking, and uncomfortable doing it, that his discomfort gets projected onto _me,_ so _I_ get anxious listening to it.
Prefect. It’s also seriously hilarious when Elon speaks and he feels so smart and superior dropping knowledge on the humans of earth and we’re all like, guy, we know that already. Everyone knows that already.
The university presidents never had a chance. If they didn’t go to the hearing (like Lovett suggested) they would have painted as people who didn’t care and would have been asked to resign. Spending so much time on this episode bashing these presidents seems unproductive.
They seemed elitist and evasive, and played into the R's hands, which is what I think was his point. What was needed was some good debate coaching for them to come out swinging, which would've also gotten them bashed, but it would've shown that they can come down from their ivory endowment & investments towers and handle a verbal knife fight in a alley. Might not have cost at least one of them her job: ("Ross Stevens, a Penn alumnus and the CEO of the financial firm Stone Ridge Holdings, sent a letter to the university Thursday threatening to pull $100 million worth of shares in his company that are held by the university unless Magill vacates her post." NBC News 12/09/23)
I don't think they were bashing the presidents... They were lamenting the fact that the presidents didn't realise a trap was being set for them and therefore were ill prepared. Like Jon said the worst part of all this is the fact that Stefanik and Republicans have been allowed to weaponize anti-Semitism when anti-Semitism is a real problem that needs to be addressed seriously and in good faith.
As a Jew who recognizes Israel’s right to exist… I am tortured by the struggles in my head coming to terms with the tragedy that BB has created committing serious war crimes and human autrocities…. I am proud of my Jewish heritage but cannot come to terms with the genocide that seems to have to end in sight… it is so painful to watch… I am so torn up inside… 😢
I feel like Israel as a nation state should really be evaluated. I think them taking over that land and essentially stealing so many homes and places of the Palestinian people after WW2 is enough to say we should question if we should support that nation state existing. Not the people. The people have a right to live. I think as time goes on and as people move homes should be returned to the families that owned them before all the land was taken after WW2.
nope, the land belongs to Israel. The jews have more of a claim to it than the palestinians do, if we would disregard that and give it to palestinians, then there are way more examples where land should be returned, like the USA to the native americans, pakistan to India, etc,

This show needs (or should have) a larger platform
Hearing Ramzy speak was literally so wonderful and inspirational!
Your graphic designer is one of the most eloquent voices I've heard on Crooked. Plus, like, not a single "like" in his, like, sentences! I like!
This discussion is so vital. Both of these guys are true humans. Bless us all!

I appreciated hearing the interview with Ramzy, thank you for sharing ❤
6:36 Think this is the most angry I've ever seen Producer Brian.
Wow! "Congress is WWE." Such a succinctly obvious statement, just gotta laugh!
Thanks to Ramzy for sharing!
Nice work, Ramzy. Very moving and necessary. Great episode Lovett and team. Best show yet.
Thanks for sharing your personal story.
(Off topic: Love that shirt!)
Great interview Lovett. "Speak your mind, even if your voice shakes." Ruth Bader Ginsburg 🙏❤️ Free Palestine

This is the best discussion on the Israel Hamas war that I’ve heard. Thank you.

"you brought a knife to a folding chair fight" !!!

The quoted part is a joke. But honestly, you shouldn't feel bad for thinking it's actually something those PoS would say.

02:30 - LOL Software housekeeping flush
Please bring Ramzy on more often... he's great, also, he should run for office.
Thank you to Ramzy for speaking so personally. ❤
05:08 - If alive enough to ask for help , then not dead enough to need help
Why haven’t the ex Twitter team started a new and better version of Twitter and leave x in the dustbin of history?
Literally waited a punch line in the Ohio story bc it sounds so un-f*#k!n&-believable.

It's a GOP "Gotcha" moment!
Stay strong, everyone.
I think a good question to ask bots is "are you prohuman"?
"in favor of all humans" = "all lives matter" ?
Is Lovett in a different room? Why can’t everyone sit on the couch?
It gave me pause too.
Nobody gonna talk about Vivek’s weak stream? Dude needs a prostate check.
prostate check cant fix baby dick.
I was thinking to same thing ❣️🤭🤭🤭😂
Sounded like a tentative little kid.
🤣🤣🤣🤣Same thought exactly!
Maybe he's pee shy on Zoom calls? (Or whatever that Twit thing was/is called.)

Oh hi!
Please stop it with the ‘like’ ‘like’ ‘like’ ‘like’. It’s incredibly distracting .
Agreed, the work “like” is like a comma.
That’s hot…
Maybe your still dreaming 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I wonder how many calories a Palastinien is gettting compared to how much they got during WW2.
