That traffic light isn't based off of a weight sensor. Almost every traffic light you see that isn't simply on a timer, will use inductance as a way to sense if a vehicle is waiting at the light. There will be a coil of wire under the road, and the traffic light system is measuring the resistance along that wire, when a vehicle passes over/stops at that wire coil, your vehicle will affect the coils magnetic field and the system will detect this and change the lights. However, the system isn't without flaws, a motorcycle isn't always large enough to interrupt the magnetic field enough to sense that a vehicle is present. Similar concept though in relation to the common misconception that traffic lights have a weight sensor. TL;DR Traffic light sensors almost always detect mass, not weight.
Hey brad I think the lights don't work on weight but a magnetic field. im pretty certain Kipkay made a video on it. an easy fix is to buy a strong magnet and put it somewhere on the bike

I think it has something to do with the fuel injection on the WR's because I can run my DRZ400 all day in stop and go traffic without any issue.
I've seen some other videos for Berad, it indeed heats up if he doesn't switch off his engine..
