Fun fact: from the only interview Vessel has ever given, when asked about what the hell is going on with the mix of genres he does (and keep in mind this was back in 2017), he gave this as his response: "Life is dark. Life is bright. Life is ugly. Life is beautiful. Don't get lost in genres, they'll only disorientate you. Music is for everyone."
In the same interview, he also said about his music: "Our verses are a token, crafted to magnify and embody the multitude of emotion that writhes in our subconscious. Sonically our voice is rooted in the resonation between the notes and your emotion. Take our hand."
I think it's safe to say he's succeeded in his goal-I've never encountered a band that makes me feel so many raw emotions so rapidly. Thank you, Vessel. Your music is truly a gift to the world. 💜

It's me, your favorite lyric corrector 😂 "no matter what I do, this scar will never fade" but I'm so with you guys, this song is such a huge vibe and it's like, I want 10 more minutes of this, like Ascensionism 😩 they truly are so gifted. These lyric videos they use are cool, but it really takes away from the lyricism when the video creator gets the lyrics wrong.
@@tysonschilke9184listen, all the videos I created were created less than 24 hours after each song release. Since making these videos there have been multiple versions of the lyrics for all songs as the band never release official ones themselves. So although the lyrics on screen may be old and wrong the newest ones will always be updated in the description.

I love the transition to the fat metal hip hop beat. I can count my friends with no hands so I relish seeing videos of people enjoying the same songs my mind craves when I’m down in my hole. Thanks for doing this. I know I’m not alone in this thought. Much love.

I feel like every song I listen to makes me so “this is the best song”. It’s just the album. The whole thing is perfect
I've deep dived into their lyrics, and the conclusion i've come to is that i'm 99% certain that Vessel attempted $uicide as a form of revenge against a physiologically abusive girlfriend, and "The Appearition" are memories of a healthy relationship that were "never real" I hear "somewhere in the past something was between you and I my dear" not as "there was something special between us", but it references Vore "there is always something in the way..." meaning that something is preventing things from being good. I think the idea of waking up is him snapping out of it and coming to his sense "wake up to a $uicide frenzy", "you've got me up in a frenzy again, I know you're planning to leave in the end" "you woke me up one night dripping crimson on the carpet", "for the time being you are still a perfect reminder of what all of these scars on my arms are for if I can't hold myself together". I'm also confident that Sleep is a metaphor for something but I'm not quite sure. My strongest theory is that it represents the blissful ignorance he used to be in OR him when he's in a health, peaceful state of mind, like NF dressed in white vs black.

Alkaline is a banger from a prior album that I would absolutely recommend.
This hit Eric different and I sympathize. This is probably my favorite on the album.
Happy this is back up, though the unedited version wasn't that bad. I'm pretty sure every Sleep Token fan has had Eric's "Vessel, you son of a bitch" thought at least once. I'm excited to see your reactions to the final two songs, though I'm not sure you'll pick up on all the references in Euclid since you haven't listened to much of their back catalogue.
Mostly over his multi octave voice and ability to play piano,guitar and bass.

I didn't catch this until just now, but apparition is another word for ghost, and the "Ooh-oohs" that come in at 8:13 with the tremelo-effect over the trap beat sound subtley like the sounds that ghosts makes in pop culture, like in a haunted house in cartoons.
I hope you guys also react to their older material. It's all so good! From the EPs, the singles to the albums.. just 😍🤌🏼
If you want to really experience Vessel's voice - you should check out any song in "from the room below" series (they're on deluxe version of Sundowning), or "Hey Ya" cover. This album isn't the best showcase of his vocal, believe it or not 😅

Lore with Sleep Token nerd: This song is about Vessels suicide attempts and how he keeps waking up to Sleep and never leaving them. Vessel has faint memories that Sleep gave him "Something in the past, Something was between you and I my dear." He looks at himself not just with his eyes and sees scars mentally with him attempting many times in the past and actual scars of those attempts.
this song is about the Godmother brother. she is known as the Apparition. its supposed to mean that shes trying to tell him a time and place its said that the Apparition of Mary is to delivery a specific time to someone in need. it most likely is connected to his attempts. but this song is not about Sleep himself
example: both verses directly speak of time when asking "her(how he refers to whom hes speaking to)" "why are you NEVER" (never is a time) and "when you appear"(when is a time) Vessel is a VERY smart individual when he writes music so maybe im overthinking but with his mind it couldve been on purpose

I think all 3 albums are the story of someone who "loved" so deeply, soo exclusively he went crazy and turned her into otherworldy being.

After you finish listening to all the songs piecemeal, you should 100% do a sit down and listen to the entire album in one sitting. They are amazing songs, for sure, but the ALBUM is an absolute MASTERPIECE.

I absolutely love this song one of my top songs from this albumn. And think about it coming right after are you really ok? I see it as his lover that was self harming didn't make it and this is the aftermath of losing his lover but still being haunted by what happened ( wake up to a suicide frenzy loaded dreams still leave me empty) cuz she's gone now and it's haunting house dreams which you will hear in other songs earlier songs. (Just me go or take me with you) he wants to die so he can be with her and if that can't happen then he just wants to forget about her so he can move on.
