For the handicaps we submitted Matt as a 7, Steve as a 10 and kwon as a +3. Because of the course rating/difficulty the adjusted handicaps they calculated were the ones in the video which is Kwon at a +2, Steve at a 13 and Matt as a 10. Hopefully this isn't too confusing just trying to add a little clarity.

Yeah for sure. There were a couple videos when Grant was his teammate and he kept giving him a visual/aiming point and Steve did really well. May have been at Payne's Valley
the range tip is money. Steve seems to feel that on camera he needs to compete for distance, but all we want is for him to play his best.

Steve is painfully conscious of his status as the least best GG player, and he plays a way lot better if he can just be persuaded to slow down his thoughts and his swing and play within the boundaries of his current game. I think the fact that the other guys trounce him off the tee gets inside his head and makes him swing too fast. Matt's pace is a good example of the difference. Swing slower and time everything right and the ball goes farther. Adding Garrett's golf brain to Steve's game was awesome.

In my opinion a good example of what separates GOOD Good from other golf channels. The team concept and the unselfishness of Garrett and Bubs, who played last year, not playing but still there supporting the fellas and the channel.

Beef is 100% one or my favourite golfers. Ran into him here at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. Such a cool guy. One of the most “normal” golfers you will ever find.

Love seeing Matt in his bag a little more when he plays. He has always and will always be the most charismatic of the bunch, but goodness when he focuses up and has something to play for..... it's like he channels the jokes into focus. Gotta love that for him.

I think the handicaps were probably pretty close. Would be interesting if you guys kept a handicap this upcoming season so you could keep dialing that in. Cheers to a great video. Love to see Matt and Steve take a serious mentality into an event and really try and dial in, was a really great watch!
They play golf for a living. It’s surprising they don’t carry a handicap
i like good good and im an og fan from well before GG was a thing, but these guys dont play real golf. they play lift-clean-place every time they step foot on a course. they've never played out of a bad lie pretty much ever.

add another 5 shots or more to each of their handicaps under real, unedited circumstances, say if they were to enter an actual AM event with real rules and real competition / oversight so they cant cheat.

Garrett tries to play to many shaped shots, low cuts, high fades etc. Feel like if he just picked distances and hit the right club he would be phenomenal

I absolutely love seeing Steve and Matt playing well and I absolutely love coming to the comments and seeing everyone gassing them up when they do play well! This video really makes me want Scarff to make some break 75 videos or something and play some serious golf with good production. His swing is so nice to watch and when he’s playing well it’s just so entertaining

What a fun video. You guys were playing lights out ….. with special recognition to Steve. He is playing the best golf I have ever seen from him. Having Grant there to keep Steve focused on the right things appears to make a difference. I guess that is the benefit of having a caddy…even for the pros. A caddy is so much more than a dude to do the heavy lifting.
The problem with getting a handicap for these guys (other than Kwon) is that they so rarely play their own ball in a normal format for a full round (which, of course, those other formats are more entertaining for us!). They could probably go back and have someone on Kendrick’s team log their GG major scores and the single stroke play from their individual channels.
Beef is the perfect partner for this group!

Make a series where you get the boys actual handicaps. Would make for nice content, avoid speculation for events like these, and spread some information about how the handicap system actually works.
You don’t just “get” a handicap. You sign up with the USGA and whenever you play a round you log your score. Then you have a handicap. It’s so easy and takes so little time there is no excuse.
For people confused about the handicaps - They are adjusted for each course based on slope rating, so they each get more shots.

But why don't they have handicaps? You should not play in competition with a made up one!
@@richardwaterhouse4333 agreed… don’t know how the handicap systems works in the USA, but they won’t be members anywhere… I think both Matt/Steve are far better than their handicaps though.
@@Tomshanksit it's a world handicap system now, so exactly the same as anywhere else. Neither do you have to be a member of a club anymore.
