8 years later and this is STILL my favorite 3style set! RESPECT Trayze!! Every DJ dreams of such moments in their career. I just wish we had a chance to see the crowd reactions.
Great performance, but why did they record the audio outside ? Should have been a chanel plugged into the mixer to get the mixing and scratching recorded !
Billy has the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand. There are a lot of really skilled DJs in the world but to truly master it, a great DJ will get the crowd completely lit, and the rest is history.
The evolution of a dj is like the evolution of a guitar player. We add a crossfader and another table; now we can make a million genres of music with one instrument, just like the electric guitar allowed us to do. We evolve our idea of how music is played and we play it differently every time
U R TRULY A GREAT DJ. WITH AN AWESOME STYLE. MUCH LUV TO U ND ALL THE UPCOMING DJ'S IN THEIR GERAGES ND BEDROOMS OUT THERE. PRACTICE, PRACTICES, PRACTICES CUS ONE DAY THIS CAN BE U..
Rob B I used to say the same thing being a DJ who has bust my ass for years carrying heavy record boxes from one place to another so heavy that I wouldn't even have the energy to take them into my house after a gig id risk leaving them in the car, you have to move with the times dude..... The only difference between an old skool DJ and this current crop is the none changeing on Vinal/CDs and the carrying around of record boxes ohh and the aid of a laptop....but the skill is all the same in my opinion.....
still one of my favorite mixes.. such a solid tracks selection, beatiful transitions, nothing to fancy! does someone know mixes like this? scratch transitions and nice selection, different ages of hip hop..
#1: Serato has a feature where you can loop the track at any moment. #2: This DJ is also using Novation Dicers which allows you to hit a button and loop the track the same way that Serato does.
He's not using loops he's beat juggling but also he has a premade set all strung together that he cuts and queues between. Back in the day you had to make it and get it pressed in vinyl. Now you can make it yourself.
Yeeeeaahh... give the people what they want. Technics & music!!! I remember one festival watching Q-Bert. Bored in 10 min. Then I went to another room where DJ Craze was doing something similar to this video. OMG. That was fresh!!! Keep on Trayze.
If anyone is about to post a negative comment on this shit has less than 1,000,000 views on their battle routine video do yourself a favor: close your laptop, get off your momma's couch, and go practice.
How old are you ? I mean to say that the man's good at scratch ,mixing an all that good stuff,So where did i say that DJ Trayze was shit in my comments ? . Look MixingAndMashing listen to some RUN D MC so you can understand by what i mean by Saying one word BAD ok .
This was a dope set.. I attended this event and the crowd reaction was phenomenal!! this video didn't really show how turned up the crowd was during his set but he did a great job!!
you deep sea diving party break blending crowd interacting basted,,you just made my job a 1000 times harder,,,ps i love the cell phone, bit so original,,flawless!!!!!
When he put that Jackson 5 joint on and got the crowd participation, I was like, "Nice" but then he cut up Young Mike and I got loud in my duplex, ya'll! That shit was pyroclastic
Well, I'm not really into the new school dj's, but this was on point. It reminds me of what the electronic dj's were doing in the 90's and 00's. Very creative, could never do that with vinyl, but hey, its the 21st century, its hard finding a record store, much less vinyl. Keep on rawkin' it Trayze.
"I’m thinking about re-recording it and releasing it as another video if I hit 250,000 views (with proper audio, in my home studio)." It's now 285+. A remake would greatly be appreciated :)
Bless you. Yep hes got two records made of actual pvc containing loops made for battle djs they'd be useless to you but in the hands of a turntabalist!
The turntables is hooked up the to computer through a soundcard. For ex rane sl with serato. All the songs playing is stored and played from the pc, the turntables simply works as controller units.
Say what you will. He knows how to work his crowd and it does not sound like anyone there is having a bad time. If the people are entertained then mission fuggin accomplished.
Thanks! 2X Technics 1200mk2 and Rane TTM57 mixer. The first song is a live blend I did with "been around the world" and "murder she wrote". The second song you are asking about is a transition uptempo edit I did into "I'm the shit" by DJ class
I really enjoyed this set. 1st dude used songs any hip hop fan knows and loves. Most times comp sets are full of obscure records most people don't know. I fucks with this heavy......

Every DJ dreams of such moments in their career. I just wish we had a chance to see the crowd reactions.
Now that's a crowd! We need more of them
Great performance, but why did they record the audio outside ? Should have been a chanel plugged into the mixer to get the mixing and scratching recorded !
Hes been DJing since the age of 13? Well i am 13 now and i started 11 years old. :) Full respect!
hahaha there are comments like "how does the song loop if he's not doing anything to the vinyls?" have you guys heard of serato yet? gosh...
Ikr 😂
MUCH better showing than the last two of these I watched. I wish the audio were better
This is what i call a DJ !! Nice Dude !!
The technical skills and the engaging personality on this guy! Nice work!!

Thanks, this is basically my first video. The dicers were used for cue points, loops, and triggering drum sounds.
Greeeat Mix. Haters you can read his t shirt.
U R TRULY A GREAT DJ. WITH AN AWESOME STYLE. MUCH LUV TO U ND ALL THE UPCOMING DJ'S IN THEIR GERAGES ND BEDROOMS OUT THERE. PRACTICE, PRACTICES, PRACTICES CUS ONE DAY THIS CAN BE U..
Damn that transition on 2:33... Genius
Damn what a crowd! Wish they were like this all the time....
Rob B I used to say the same thing being a DJ who has bust my ass for years carrying heavy record boxes from one place to another so heavy that I wouldn't even have the energy to take them into my house after a gig id risk leaving them in the car, you have to move with the times dude..... Wow i learned so much from watching this guys technique
still one of my favorite mixes.. such a solid tracks selection, beatiful transitions, nothing to fancy! does someone know mixes like this? scratch transitions and nice selection, different ages of hip hop..
I don't understand how he makes some songs loop out when he's clearly not doing it, are they pre made loops or something?
#1: Serato has a feature where you can loop the track at any moment.
#2: This DJ is also using Novation Dicers which allows you to hit a button and loop the track the same way that Serato does.
