A nine-metre high structure with intersecting bamboo poles arches over the gymnasium of Green School Bali. Elora Hardy, the architect behind this award-winning structure, is on a mission to show how sustainable architecture can be achieved through the use of bamboo and advances in technologies.
‘UNBOXING’ AN UNCONVENTIONAL JAPANESE HOME
This five-block Tokyo residence has been artfully designed around the terrain. From the carefully selected furniture and fixtures to the beautifully framed pockets of greenery, architect Hideki Ishii plays with light and shadow as well as spatial design to create surprising vignettes and cosy rooms.
PROUDLY ROOTED IN TRADITION
Sitting in the heart of New Delhi is interior designer Amrita Guha’s five-story duplex. Amrita is known for her contemporary approach to Indian design, reviving and preserving Indian traditions. Peppered around her house are exquisite art, sculptures, and furniture that tell a story of the country’s history.

The Indian interior designer's design caters for the rich. So easy to use sustainability using the poor from far flung areas of India.
I'm sure there are other Indian designers using reasonable sustainability ideas.
All are exceptionally beautiful. Each is truly remarkable. Yet all have an indoor/ outdoor aesthetic, and appreciation of light, dark, and artistic expression. They all have a sense of reflection, calm and place.
That school is amazing.

Truely is a remarkable get away from life and heavenly experiences. cant help but amazed at these ultimate structures that really draWS the line ultra rich and the common people. so sick of it. i would rather live in the common houses by the common people. how the common people keep their limited space neat and tidy, clean, simple, humble, cheap but lively. these amazing houses are nice to watch, but they are not family houses. the children are like living in the asylum, in the world of their own. they will never experience the ups and downs, the humble, tough, satisfaction and richness of life as we know it, and experience the true meaning of family when people get together in small, connected and close relationships, not like this kind of luxury houses but disconnected souls. However its just amazing how people just like to watch nice nice houses and watch them eat and poop.
Amazing Living, I was very impressed with this, but it made me realize how impractical all of this would be for people with different disabilities. I'd love to see an episode in which this factors is considered.
They are built for the people living there, not with the general public in mind.

I bought a uv dust-mite vacuum. The surface gets heated when i touch it. Is it dangerous for our body to use uv vacuum? Will it skin cancer my hand? Please do research cna insider!

What trees? Are you talking about the bamboo buildings in the Bali Green School? Bamboo is an ultra renewable resource, since it grows large enough to use in approximately five years. It's actually a grass!

They will have to find a way to make all those empty volumes affordable. Otherwise they are designing for the rich.
The school fee is $20k per year. Shocking huh.
If you are talking US dollars you should *halve* your figure, and you would be closer to the truth.

It's not a school, just a business model. They have a bamboo construction company. They do school trip for visitors with pay everyday when the students are in class. It seems like open house. It's so expensive as an international school in Bali but they don't have enough facilities like pool or gym or IT room. Then why it is so expensive? They just learn how to recycle, how to live without resources. It's not 16-18c. What is sustainable? I don't get the meaning of their sustainable.
Look at 3:55 to 5:10, and you will see the *massive gymnasium* (gym). It's almost 5 storeys high and three badminton courts long. How could you have missed it?
Sustainability is building with bamboo, as it takes only about 5 years to grow. Some eight to ten times faster than fast growing trees!
It is definitely a school. They have students. How could it not be a school if there are students?

@@judylloyd7901 Then it must be cheap. And why the school ask to pay to visitors, every single day? Do you know how many people pay for it? Why the student have to see visitors everday? Sometimes they walk together and visitors ask to student, take picture, etc. I never seen any of school ask to pay for the school tour for someone who wanna see. The fact is they have a bamboo construction company beside of the school. They are a company. It's kind of open house and a great portfolio as their bamboo construction business. Do you know how expensive the bamboo is? Non sense.
sad all this has a price to be paid which only the rich n profiteers can afford. its not by simple nature for simple people.

That Balinese bamboo architecture made the rest of the video looks boring... Sorry to to say, it is second to none...
