Nice. Slowly but steady house is getting all elements. This additional support for gutters we have in Norway as well, since we also have a lot of snow. Heating, we dont have here, but if you like it why not. Always love when I see you bought new tools. Your kids will have with something to play when grow up. Cheers and Happy New Year!!!
The climate in our countries is similar. Gutter heating is rarely used here too..... I decided to do gutter heating, as it is always interesting to try new technologies in practice. My son is 3.5 years old and enjoys playing my instrument ;) Happy New Year!
So basically you have suspended the gutter using the straps instead of attaching the gutter directly to the house. Reinforced the gutter sections with internal dowels. All of which deal with the increased weight of ice and snow. Then added heating element to get rid of the ice and snow. This is one of those solutions that on the face of it seems like a no-brainer, and you wonder why somebody didn't think of this before. The only concern that I would have, and I'm not clear if this is what you have done or not, having the heating element manually turned on and off. Because any wires that might accidentally be exposed and lead to a very shocking experience. So having it manually turned on as opposed to automatically turned on is a safer solution.
First of all, the gutters are attached to metal hooks, which are attached to the purlins at their connection to the rafters. This is how the gutters are installed in our region. In this case, they can be torn off under the weight of ice or snow (we often get a lot of snow during the winter). So I came up with an idea to reinforce the gutters with a strip of metal. So it can withstand any load, even my weight (I tried to hang on the gutter). I did the manual activation of the gutter heating for testing purposes. When I finish the house, the heating will be switched on by a switch in the electrical box or with the help of a smart home, during the thaw.

You are extremely talented. I wish I could be half as good as you when it comes to building😊
You just have to start!
Then everything will work out ;)
Well done! 👍
Thank you! 👍
