Thank you for sharing - a couple more tips to help with some fruits and roots etc . Some fruits should never go in the fridge , ever , as it alters both taste & texture . Any GREEN bits on Potatoes , remove prior to use , or plant the potatoes back in the ground , for a couple of pounds or more of new season crop that can then be stored as is in the garden until needed . Pumpkin , should be kept at room temperature , and once cut , allowed to be in a good airflow to dry out the cut surfaces , reducing spoilage . Mushrooms , always in a paper bag to allow them to breath , or they go off faster . If you have little option but to use plastic , ensure the bag has been opened , to allow moisture to escape , and air to circulate . Should your fridge start to smell , a couple of desert or table spoons of baking soda , will help keep the odour away , or else a small bag - cloth - of activated charcoal will also do the same function . Namaste 🙏❤️❤️🙏❤️
