Unclench your jaw. Close yours eyes. You’re in your airship. Out on the open deck. Your companions all over the ship wanting one more chat before the end starts. You’re traveling to “it’s” hideout. A vast desert in every direction and grey skies as far as you can see. They all Ty in turn, for either rescuing or helping them. One by one you move around and listen to what could be your last interaction. None of it seems too positive. It’s a long shot if you get there in time and don’t know the cost until we are done. It’s the ending of the world, galaxy, universe, life, reality or love itself is on the line. Always at this junction we get the story of why you are going to the end. To win? To……beat? Too read the final chapter? Or to finish this story…..only to pick up the controller tomorrow and become something new a grade new adventure or best time, score, goal?
Take heart in your choices at the end………code can corrupt and stories lost. Tech can crash and take away hours and days, years poof gone. Take care of your NPC friends because you may never see them again. Don’t just watch the sand race past below you.
