In This video Me and My Golf give 11 handicap Todd a lesson helping him get his club more on plane to hit straighter iron shots. Todd did have a relatively good golf swing, we just had to iron out a few things in the backswing and not only did he start to compress his irons. He started to consistently hit it a lot straighter!

Love this guys lower body movement to initiate his downswing. I have very similar traits in the backswing, can’t wait to try this out.
Yes Todd's golf swing is really good. Just getting those arms to work better with the body is key. Hope this helps.

As a golfer with 6 weeks of life experience… this is gonna be a big one for me I can tell.
As a taller player I struggle with staying in plane and the occasional shank. I also take too much turf because I am coming in a lot steeper. Any thoughts on what to do as a taller player?
When I shoot a 75 on the back and a 68 on the front I know it’s time I prolly should learn what I’m doing or move up a few tee boxes
We as ams seem to focus a lot on the down swing. In reality if we focused more on the back swing it would help the down swing. As usual great vid guys!
Totally agree. The down swing is often a result of something that is happening before.
Haha something Andy said at the start there about upper body rotation flicked a switch in my head. I've always had these niggling thoughts in the back of my mind a lot my troubles come from a lack of upper body rotation. I'm not sure if it's a mobility/flexibility/strength problem or I just wasn't aware. I can turn it back but can't keep it at the target. Away to do some sitting torso rotations now.

How can someone get a lesson with you and be on UA-cam with you.
For irons, you want to just barely scrape the grass right? You're not trying to dig a hole? Any difference for that when the ball is above or below your feet?
It depends on which club. We will take more turf with shorter irons than long irons but yes we don't want to be digging the club in too much.
