    If you have mold in your car please don’t procrastinate like I did and clean it ASAP. Waited too long thinking it wasn’t a big deal and now I’m having full body aches, headaches that have me writhing in pain and I lost my voice. It’s no joke and I wish I had cleaned mine sooner

    Thanks for the advise, simple and pretty straight forward. Only one thing I would recommend, wear a mask ( like the ones used for dust or painting fumes). For what I know mold spores are very volatile and could make one sick. Good luck to all facing this problem, it sucks!!

    Thank you so much, we just got back from vacation to find my husband's truck cab had mildew/mold growing all over. We live Virginia and had lots of rain and humidity, I really can't imagine why it happened other than that, you gave us a great set of directions to clean this mess. Your solution was ideal, thanks.

    Mold is fungus - NOT bacteria.

      @vctrsone 8 років тому +21

      Also the fungus feeds on the vinegar until it explodes from over feeding..kinda like over feeding a goldfish.
      Its why vinegar is so effective...the mold kills itself.

    Is it best to use pure vinegar to officially NUKE the spores right off the bat, instead of diluting??? I would think may be more infective. I'm not concerned about the smell.. I'm more concerned about killing the mold completely.

    How much vinegar and water do you add together? Should you let the solution sit longer before scrubbing? Can we use hot water? I wish the guide was more detailed

    • @bluerabbit1236
      @bluerabbit1236 27 днів тому

      Water is to reduce smell. If you're not sure about how much to mix then don't mix and use vinegar by itself. Once you get rid off mold, you can use things like febreeze to take care of the smell.

    I spilled my water (by accident) inside the storage area that is located in between the driver and passenger seat. I didn't think much of it, as it was just water (smh). After a few days my car starts to smell of mold. I then used a Clorox wipe and I think it made that worse, because the smell got worse. Even though you are using this on car seat, can I use this tip on this specific area? or should I just go to my dealership and have them clean the area?

    Please know that mold is dangerous and needs to be handled with caution!
    Mold is a fungus that can cause some very serious respiratory infections.
    It is imperative that an N95 mask is used!
    Also know that if the mold spores are not completely eradicated you will be putting the car owner at risk.

    Our car developed a leak when it rains. I recently cleaned the car & I noticed under the passenger seat on the carpet there is spots of mold. I don't think vinegar is a good idea in this spot because of all the electronics & metal under the seat (vinegar eats metal), & it's in a tough corner to get to also. Any Idea's ?
