    Sorry if it's not the right place to ask, but is there some mad lad that found a way to combine VSM, ESM shadows from Blender 2.8 with 2.9 and onwards? 2.8 shadows have more tweaking options and can be rendered decently, without need of sampling and without soft-shadows option, which means full real-time. I talking about something like, render animation in 3.3 without shadows and then mixing it with 2.8 shadows only. I guess main problem is eevee didn't have a good shadow cather, and custom nodes that i've seen is extremelly unreliable and need a tweak case by case basis, including lighting, to render them as transparent independent layer. That would making animation's so much faster, especially for low-end computers.

    The hdr is not appearing in viewport sharing render preview. I can see the background through the window, but the area outside hasnt changed. Any tips?

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics 2 роки тому

      Just make sure you use Environment texture in the color input and that the world light strength is not set to 0. There's a small chance that the HDRI map is the problem so try another one if you have or even reset the scene in case you change any settings by mistake.
      HDRI should appear clearly in render view once you open it.
      hope this helps.

    what about the shadow?. its never straight and smooth its always rugged

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics 3 роки тому +1

      Well to some point yeah in the viewport render, but once you increase the samples for the final one i think it should look fine.

    • @justicemagagane5737
      @justicemagagane5737 3 роки тому

      @@architecturetopics but it never does it looks the same even when you render and increase the samples.😭😭
      It always looks better in cycles but my laptop has no nvidia only AMD 9 card 😭😭😭. Cycles is too much for my laptop 😭

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics 3 роки тому

      @@justicemagagane5737 Well sure Cycles will look better for its ray tracing, we add those light probe to eevee for GI ( illumination global) but still pretty good.
      there's an online version of blender ( someone modify it) with an GI option in its eevee render settings look for it online it might help.

      You can increase Cube Size and Cascade Size in Shadows section on Render properties, the first is for point and area lights and the second for Sun light.

    When i press bake , Indirect lighting.. 5 min was only 1 % ..

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics 2 роки тому

      Well many factors contribute in this number, polygon counts, light sources, geometry shapes etc.. also your device specs plays the major role so it's taking too much time yes, you maybe need to optimize your scene a bit, hide unnecessary stuff, simplify lightning and maybe try to run the bake on other blender versions just to see if it helps.

      I did upload another Landscape scene similar to this one and you can Download it from here
