- Five teenagers were shot in Greenbelt, Maryland after hundreds of students gathered earlier in the afternoon for a senior skip day event.
Police said they were at least 500-600 high schoolers when officers arrived at the park.
Five victims, between the ages of 16 and 18, were found suffering from gunshot wounds. Detectives believe the suspects left the park.
"This is a horrible, tragic, senseless act that happened today," Greenbelt Police Chief Richard Bowers. "There is absolutely no reason that this occurred."

In the 70s and 80s, high school kids had loaded rifles in a gun rack in their pickup. NO shootings. Noone even rolled windows up in vehicles. People had RESPECT for property and life.

the news agency is being cautious not to jump into conclusions because they have not heard of the entire matter yet, but still reported this incident in order to come out on top of other news agencies. It's all about this.

Two countries that had mass shootings (UK and Australia) immediately changed their gun laws afterwards and have not had even 1% of the problems USA has. Learn from the actions of others who have succeeded where you have failed. If the "bad people" can't easily obtain guns the number of shootings will reduce. It's simple mathematics.

Due to Liberal Progressive DA's and Judges put in place by the "Cloward Piven Doctorine" the Shooter will most liely get 22-25 years with time off for good behavior....He She Him They will end up serving about 17-18 years.
A prison is supposed to be for punishment while receiving rehabilitation. If the person isn't going to see freedom again then why waste the resources of rehabilitation?
A little quick to judge, methinks. It's possible all those shot had pulled knives on the shooter, though exceedingly unlikely. It's an unfortunate incident, with the shooter likely the bad guy, but let's not start sentencing before we understand what actually happened.
It all depends if they followed the rules of the sport, rules must be followed to crown a new champion. It's under review by the judges due to a complaint lodged by some spoiled parents thinking their kids deserve to win.
