We Like YOU. My favorite Halestorm song is Here's to Us. Amy Lee is at the top, everyone is her back up singer.
Halestorm is one of the best bands of the 2000s. Been lucky enough to see them live 3 times. Lzzy Hale has the biggest voice in rock music these days. She is doing this in a studio but live she can be standing 10 feet away and she sounds exactly like this. I've also always heard that while people are impressed with the big high notes, that it was actually harder to sing low. Your singing experience definitely pays off breaking down this one. I really really enjoy many of their songs but Familiar Taste of Poison is probably my favorite. I feel like you sing with your hands like Lzzy here too! You harmonized perfectly with them! I am always here for your singing. Thanks again, for another great song and reaction.
I agree every words you said, im huge fan of Halestorm , saw them 7 times in Europe with meet and greet , everytime is awesome experience, for me they are the best band of last 20 years in classic hard rock, very talented emotional in concert , pure Rock and genuine feelings...and yes sensitivity and mentality of Lzzy are similar potential to Yulia 🤟

Both bands were on tour together. Amy asked Lizzy if she could sing backup vocals on the song and that's how it started. This is the studio version they recorded for the REIMAGINED album. They did a LIVE stream version on the band website that is what I heard in 2012

@@IYOU Amy came in earlier, like in the LIVE stream. I saw it LIVE in 2012 and it's better live. The song is about the love affair between the crowd and the performer, I think it's why Amy & Lzzy sing it with so much emotion

I was not familiar with this song, but I found the chorus in particular to be very pretty.
I kept expecting the song to get heavy at some point, and maybe that would have been the predictable thing to do and so I respect their artistic decision to just keep it light throughout. I would have liked some electric guitars and heavy drums to kick in toward the end, though, even if that makes me a predictable listener. 🙂

This is what the song was actually missing, in my opinion -- that extra element, the higher vocals they give it an extra dimension. My perfect revision of this song would be your vocals kicking in to make it a trio rather than a duet, and then some heavier guitar and drums kicking in, as well.
I just listened to that part again, starting at the 7-minute mark. You add in some different inflections, and that makes the harmonizing even more beautiful. I'm not just saying it just to be nice, I think your own vocals really do add to this song!
