I really enjoyed your video. I photograph historical architecture and that place would be a dream for me to photograph! Not one little bit of graffiti that I could see! And that staircase! What craftsmanship. It still looked really solid. Built to last! Thank you so much for sharing this video!

The late great Mott Green had a dream of getting this beautiful house and restoring it so he could relocate his amazing Grenada Chocolate Company there. Sadly he is no longer with us, and the place is still sadly neglected. I believe the owner lives in NY

Hi thank you for your video, unfortunately you were mis-informed. This house was built and owned by the Alexis family. The original house was built of wood and owned by a slave owner. Mr Saville Alexis a black man acquired the house and knocked the old house down and re-built it in the late 19th century or early 20th century. The Alexis lived there until the 80s and was inherited by a descendant Mr Boyce who unfortunately sold it on to a Grenadian, who I understand resides in Canada.
Mr Alexis insisted that slave pen never be dismantled, he wanted it to be a pertinent reminder of the slave history in Grenada.
Mr Alexis was a prosperous man who was highly respected and well known in the area.

Thank You for this. I knew we were in tall weeds as soon as she informed us that the colonizers, "pushed out" the native inhabitants.

Wow, that a house, property. And with it stories lost to time. Tragic time in the worlds history of the slave trade, etc. I not only think of the people who owned this home, but for the people who built it, maintained it & the land. Thank you for your video.

This place begs to be renovated, rehabilitated, restored. Maybe the Granadan (Granadian?) government can get an UNESCO grant if they don't have the funds to spare. Would certainly get an even return on tourist revenues. Meanwhile, those have to be the tallest, oldest palms in all the Carib. Glad to see they literally weathered scores of hurricanes. Thanks for your vid and informing us of this place although frankly, your video did leave a lot to be desired in audio, presentation, and ending in particular. The

I have mixed feelings about this video. This is the closest I've come to the slavery our ancestors experienced during the slave trade and I'd be lying if say as I listen to her voice the irritation I feel. She's speaking so nonchalantly as if she's speaking of teatime. Excuse me!!

I think she’s thrilled about finding such a grande home that has been forgotten. People like the historic homes. I think you’re being a little too sensitive.

This was an interesting look at an old building that once was a part of the sugar-slave trade. It is amazing the jungle hasn't eaten up the house. The comment about mangos made me laugh, because we pay a dollar a mango up in Michigan. I love mangos. The triple colored bushes are called crotons, another thing we pay for up here. I found the difference in climate interesting! Oh, how rude to say your voice was whiny, at least your voice is human, warm and yours!!!! I can't stand the robo voices that mispronounce the semi hard word. I liked your video!🌹🌹🌹🌼🌼🌼💜💜💜💜

Natasha Semrau. I love mangos too..also love the different plants/ trees there to. Is that a type of Fern up next to the house, on the porch ? I have a lot of ferns but not that kind.
I don't think her voice is whiny either..

Natasha this house is located in Hermitage St Patrick's and it's not in the jungle. Take a trip because there is lots more to see and make sure the local take you up to the HOT SPRING it's a journey but you will love it and if you love chocolate grab some on your way up it's organic. It's my village plus the locals are very friendly.
