- This is how I replaced my RV gas lines, I have posted links below on what I used to do this project. Hope it is helpful, and thanks for watching. *In this video I used pipe tape on the Flare fittings. As noted in the comments you do not use pipe tape on flare fittings. I have removed the pipe tape.*

Thanks for the comment. One thing I did in the video that you can omit is I added pipe tape to the threads. You don't need pipe tape on flare fittings.

And turn those channel locks around. You pull in the direction of the jaw opening. Not away.
Got it, that makes sense.
No pipe tape on flare fittings. Only use pipe tape on pipe (NPT) fittings

Do you need to get it certified by a gas fitter? or are there no regulations?
I am not aware of any regulations that require it to be certified by a gas fitter.

I agree with you 100%, laziness got the best of me. I should have gotten the proper wrench.
