Got myself 13ft 3.5lb ones, seems very stiff on cast (spod level stiff), but is actually good for playing fish. Casting distance wise, I tried Nash Entity and Prowess Starfall prior on same reel and cast pretty much the same
Each to their own. I work in a tackle shop and Having owned or atleast had a play with almost all of the shelf rods I love my greys aircurves, best rods I've ever used hands down
@@dannycurrie1 i agree 100 percent it is a personal choice i just think there are better options i think greys are vastly overpriced if u work in a tackle shop u will know that greys have one of the biggest profit markups on the market
@Dee Jay I've had 2 sets of greys rods. 1st set before I worked in a tackle shop. I do agree rods are getting worse (for the price) not better. Alot of it comes down to personal preference. Drennan esox rods are cracking rods, not disputing that. I've had daiwa longbows and infinities, didn't rate either, thought they were thick and heavy for a rod of that price. The new x45 ones are better but still not as slim and light as the air curvs. I would have the daiwa basia rods, had a play with a demo set, they are very nice but are an obscene amount of money. If I could get them at trade price I would have free spirit hi s's though, no questions asked
Love the Carpology videos and the subtle humour included, nice one Joe
