Finally, a DIY gazing ball tutorial that looks expensive and chic! THANK YOU! My bowling ball hunt begins now.
Thank you so much 💖
Mine too
Beautiful
Thank you!!
super fun!
I think I will make a few gazing balls for hubby's garden, he already has solar glow-at-night lights 🤩
That will be so awesome - can't wait to see them!
This is such a great idea! Yours looks awesome! Thanks for specifying the use of a sealer with UV protection, I probably would have just gone to my go to sealer.😕 Looking forward to doing this.
Thank you - I have been wanting to do this for a long time and my daughter finally found me a bowling ball for $5 - Yup, that exterior-rated UV topcoat is truly necessary to keep it looking great, and if you ever see any fading, just cleaning and reapply!!!
Too cool!! I love this idea!
Thank you - it was a fun project just had to find a bowling ball!!!
Love it!❤
Thank you!!!
That is so cool!
Thank you!!!
Bowling ball are generally sensitive to temperature does this process keep it from cracking? In CA in area with no extremes but 25 to 110 is possible.
I am trying to purchase the supplies. I cannot select the size of the masterclear gloss. I only want the small can. Not the gallon size. How do I specify?
We only sell this product in quarts at this time.
Can you use another surface like a concrete ball?
I'm sure it would work but make sure it is prepped well!
👏
Love it, but will the foils fade in direct sunlight
some can fade a little but make sure to use a good exterior rated topcoat with UV protection
How long will it withstand outdoor elements?
You might need to add a new layer of topcoat each year but make sure to use an exterior rated topcoat with UV
can you use other surfaces such as plastic ball or concrete?
If plastic make sure to prep the surface well
How about concrete spheres?
Can you please make the pebble foil in a purple? That’s my favorite color!
maybe someday!
Is this a specific type of foil, or just foil from the wrapping paper section?
can you put resin substance over the ball
Yes, you can resin over it but you will probably have drips on the bottom
I don’t see the links to the products.
They are all in the description above :)
I have try everything to get it to transfer help I have got everything from you what am I doing wrong
Please email us with the process you are using so we can help you! support@artisticpaintingstudio.com
Hi, I saw this days ago when researching how to make garden orbs. I scored 4 bowling balls for free. I love what you did with them. Any chance of doing another video on bowling balls? I was thinking a light color base coat instead of black. Was wondering how I could possibly make it look more say like marble. What foil to use.
Or how about light color base with perhaps a burst of teal, or multi color, but yet see some of the light color. Redoing my front foundation with new low maintain shrubs, and I would like a “pop” with the bowling balls when people drive buy it really snaps their attention
@@barbarareiszel1847 With our foils, you need to use a base coat that will compliment the foil colors. We do have foils in Marbles and most of them go well over a light color. No plans to do another bowling ball at this time, but maybe in the future!
