Here in Ireland the SL6 is €6,200 ($6,600) and is basic 105 with no Di2 and specs in at 8.4 kG. A Canyon Aeroad CF Slx with full Ultegra Di2 or SRAM Force wrap weighing under 8kg is under €6k. This just adds more value to this bike, because the Elite wheels have a 3 pawl engagement system, where the Pros have DT Swiss internals, star ratchet. They are also lighter.
yea I dont know why the store told me twice while I was asking them about the price thats that whaty it was, but maybe they bult it up and thats the price they are selling for it

@@luma_productions that color really is very nice in the sun. I owned a blue smoke Trek Boone that was extremely pretty in the sun. I really wish I still had it, but I had it warrantied.
technically the difference between this and the aeroad rival is the wheels (DT Swiss vs Aeolus), and extra powermeter on the Canyon at slightly lower price point plus the local store support and lifetime warranty on Trek.. and people always complained how canyon wouldnt use 50mm instead of the 62mm for being not very versatile, win for Trek.

I completely agree with your statement, but that’s the whole point. Without something different, they’d be just new brand trying to claw at the big boy brands. My big turnoff on the SL6 were the wheels, I didn’t mind the 105 Di2 so much. No regrets on my SL7 though
You could shove a fist through there and the bike might like it lmao. That got me good lol.
Just go get a Vitus.. 4100 for sram red, full carbon, intergrated cockpit.. buying overpriced siht like this is STUPID
Vittus to me is no better then an off brand name company.
@@GCPerformance18 thats what happens you toss specialized salad for so long pal.
I don't like that notch in the seat tube. It looks stupid. A deal breaker for me.
fair enough
Far to heavy venge for win 😜
I got to ride one in the past and man, it was a blast to ride. The moment it gets up to speed, it doesn't want to slow down.
18 lbs. It's too much and i dont like the logo it's too big but the rest it's very nice
So no lie, 18lbs for an aero bike is not a big deal for aero course, if this bike is being used for were it is intended too, flat grounds, our area that weight is non factor and carries very well in a group ride
A bit of a truck but otherwise a good price. Great for flat rides in Florida or Rhode Island.
yea no lie the weight fo this bike is a non factor if it is being used for flat areas
I’m getting PRs on all but the steepest climbs on my new Madone SL7 coming off a 2lb lighter rim brake emonda
Giant TCR Advanced Disc 1+ with similar specs is US$4K.
Complete different bike. This has carbon bar and non hookless wheels. And tcr is external cables and old design
NOT a fan of that seat stay & tube design on the Madone, if it has to be Trek i prefer the Emonda.
There is hardly a weight difference between the Emonda SL and this new Madone SL, and that’s considering the Emonda also has shallower wheels. Not worth buying an Emonda anymore, the Madone ate it
@@UltimateTuner10 I wouldn't ride a Madone because it's ugly, full stop.
I'm just trying to figure out how low the price would have to get for me to ignore that whole seatpost situation with that bike. I have no definite answer yet but it needs to be significantly lower than that.
Don’t see the price dropping. I talked to Trek and they said nope not anytime soon.
8kg sorry instant pass lmao
My Gen 6 is lighter with gatorskins and butyl tubes
hahahha but i am sure with crazy light wheels and nice components and also oclv 800
I have top tier versions of both generations. It's fun to get an apples to apples comparison of two 800 series frames. I also had 1X on the gen 6 to be fair
Over 5 grand and he says it's good deal really???
Stop being a Brokie
You guys are on a mission to bash/compete/compare to Canyon…! 😩😩There’s enough bike industry for everyone!
I dont think canyon would be that popular if it wasnt for price, tbh.... I think if it was same price as every other company they wouldnt always be talked about, in my opinion
I completely agree with your statement, but that’s the whole point. Without something different, they’d be just new brand trying to claw at the big boy brands. They’ve done basic business model disruption with an equal/comparable/better product. I have no clue what that means for the traditional bike shop business long term, but I feel like(with admittedly zero data…lol) there’s room in the market for both models.
Sorry, but Canyon Aeroad SLX is still the better option.
nope
আমি এটা নিতাম চাই দাম কতো হবে স্যার আমার দেশ বাংলাদেশ। বাংলাদেশ কি ভাবে আসবে ভাই
18lb bike for how much again?!?!? LOLOLOL
what an ugly bike. Hopefully UCI being UCI will ban this eventually for not being a triangle.
I actually like the change, I think it is refreshing to see a ocmpany think outside the box
this is granpa toy mate, always go for specialized no question
love the comment
It's only a "good deal" if you don't look beyond the shystling aka fleecing industry.
Can't they paint this bike? Black is so dull and overplayed.
For some reason bike companies nowadays love dark colors instead of the good old days of colorful paintjobs
Cheaper to produce
I do not know this to be honest, they might give a project one option to these but they are more money
@@downbad9066 5500 is cheap??
@@yukiko_5051 agreed 100%. Black bikes were cool in 2011. Now they are so overdone, boring.
Its heavy and turd ugly.
But, you own a bike shop GC and have to sell it to pay the bills I suppose.
Giant seems to be the only honest major bike company today.
Good luck.
I don’t sell trek, but I think the madone is one of the best aero bikes out there. I love giant bikes. There prices are great but the propel is $6000 for rival, alloy bar and crap wheels. Where as the madone for $5500 comes with carbon bar carbone wheels and a prettt frame. Honestly it’s a great deal. For what it is. It’s an aero bike. That 18lbs you don’t feel on the flats
If Trek would just get the color options right. Great tech horrible colorways.
