- ***Not a typical episode of Destination Anywhere*****Here's some footage I took last December in Allamuchy Township, NJ. In the video there are a few buildings that appear to have been burned down and left for dead. There's also a nice stream flowing through the area that sets the tone for the whole place.

Haunting. Ruins always make me wonder about the lives that passed through them. Thanks buddy.
Thanks Fran! I wonder too. It's kind of creepy but cool at the same time. Thanks for watching!
Allamuchy. Looks like The Profanity House territory. Great video!
Thanks man. What happened was I was out near there checking out Ghost Lake last December and I decided to go see the area of the Profanity House. Then when I got there I wasn't sure where it was or anything. I just found these buildings, filmed them and went home. I did more research when I got home but couldn't figure out if these houses were part of the profanity house or if that was actually deeper in the woods. I really don't know. Thanks for watching though!
Thanks for sharing buddy
Thanks man, I appreciate the continued support!
What’s the history of the home Mick ?? ... u got me hooked ... Dennis
Hey Dee, I actually don't really know to be honest. I think it was part of a larger estate from the early 1900s maybe. Hopefully, someone will recognize it and post more details.
Right on Brother ... it would be cool to know the history of the family (s) ...
Yeah, I'm hoping someone lets me know. I will keep you posted!
As I understand it, the video shows a prtion of the property Of the John Rutherford estate which covered over 5,000 acres in Allamuchy. Here's a site that gives a bit of the history:

Gene, thanks for sharing and thanks for watching! I was wondering about that!
@@TheMickeyShuffle i like what you are doing. A few years ago, I went to all 11 lighthouses in New Jersey. My wife and I made a 3 day adventure of it.
@@genecottrell Sounds like an awesome trip, Greg!
